Every man is created by God for the life of glory on the earth Rms. 8:29-30. But only those who responds to the call of God, referred to as born again, are qualified to God’s pre-planned life of glory. In essence, every child of God is a child of destiny, a glorious destiny 2Pet. 1:3. But we need a mental picture of this destiny, for it to become our experience in reality Gen. 13:14-15; Jer. 1:11-12.
The Destiny of the Believer in Christ.
- A triumphant destiny.
When a man receives Christ, he has received the ultimate power, with the guarantee of ever-triumphing life Jn. 1:12; 1Jn. 5:4; 2Cor. 2:14.
- A growing destiny.
When a man receives Christ, he has received the life that has capacity for unstoppable and unending growth Pro. 4:18; 2Cor. 3:18. In essence, everyone in Christ has escaped the plague of stagnation and failure in life.
It is salvation that makes an individual to qualify for this glorious destiny in Christ, it is therefore important to be sure of one’s salvation.
How Do I Know I am Saved?
- Through the manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit.
A man’s spirit comes alive or is regenerated at new birth, and the proof is that it will begin to manifest its characteristics referred to as the fruit of the spirit Gal. 5:22-23. There are nine of them, but the two of focus today are:
- i) Sanctified thoughts.
He individual can no longer accommodate defiled and ungodly thoughts again, but things that are pure and sanctified Php. 4:6; Mk. 7:21:23; Pro. 23:7; 4:23.
- ii)
This is the virtue of self-control, which is the power within to say no or yes to what is required per time 1Cor. 9:25-27; 10:23; 6:12.
- Through supernatural rescue from the works of the flesh.
The flesh of man dies at the point of new birth, bringing an end to all its works in the believer’s life Gal. 5:19-21; Rms. 6:6. There are many of them, but two of focus today are:
- i) Evil conscience.
The conscience is the inner man that keeps telling the outer man the wrong and right steps. When the inner man begins to call wrong as good and vice versa, then it has become evil, and an indication that the individual’s salvation is in great doubt 1Pet. 3:16; Tim. 1:19; 2Cor. 1:12.
- ii) Sedition or rebellion.
Rebellion means outright resistance against constituted authority, proved by willful disobedience to the authority 1Sam. 15:23; Exo. 22:18.
Keys to Realizing our Colorful Destiny in Christ.
The realization of the colorful destiny as the mercy of each believer accepting the responsibility. What are some of the responsibilities?
- Commit to meditation on the word of God for access to light.
What every man needs for fulfil her glorious destiny is light, which is in God’s word Isa. 60:1-2; Jn. 1:1-4. Meditation is the access to the light in the word 1Tim. 4:13,15; Jos. 1:8. In essence, every believer that will experience this colorful destiny in Christ must be given to the art of meditation.

Joy is a vital kingdom force to access every provision of the kingdom, including our colorful destiny in Christ Isa. 12:3; 1Ths. 5:16-17; Heb. 10:36.

Sanctification is a commandment of scripture to every believer 1Ths. 4:3,7. God will not demand from us what He has not endowed with grace or empowered us for Jdg. 6:14; 1Jn. 5:3.
