The supernatural is ordained as the natural realm of the believer by reason of redemption Isa. 8:18; Jn. 3:8. In essence, nothing validates our redemption as the supernatural Jn. 10:37-38; 17:18. It is the operation of the supernatural that puts believers in command of situations and circumstances; a disregard for the supernatural makes the believer vulnerable in life Psa. 82:5-7.
What is a Miracle or the Supernatural?
The understanding of a thing is essential to do well at it Psa. 119:144.
- A miracle is deliberate act of God invoked by the faith of men.
Miracles are not accidents, they are a conscious effort of the believer to get God to work by engaging his faith, to deliver results that make men marvel Lk. 8:40-48.
- A miracle is deliberate act of God triggered by the desperate faith of men.
In essence, miracles are not things we wait and watch for; rather, we intentionally work to make happen by engaging our faith Mk. 2:1-12.
The question is, what are the requirements that make the believer work miracles or operate in the supernatural, to the extent that it will become the natural experience of the believer?
How to Operate in the Supernatural?
- Be committed to spiritual growth and development.
How does spiritual growth empower the believer for operating in the supernatural?
- i) Everything that has life needs to grow to maturity to come into the fullness of and manifest its nature.
The believer received the supernatural nature or life at new birth. It is spiritual growth that will bring him into the realm of manifestation of this nature and life Gal. 4:1-3.
- ii) Spiritual authority required for supernatural manifestation is only entrusted to mature believers.
Spiritual authority is vital to operate in the supernatural, the level of spiritual authority will determine the level at which the believer will operate in the supernatural Lk. 9:1-3. Spiritual authority is only conferred on mature believers, hence the need for spiritual growth to command the supernatural 2Cor. 12:7.
- iii) Spiritual growth is not about age, but depth in the word.
God’s word is the spiritual food for stirring spiritual growth of believers 1Pet. 2:2. We grow spiritually and build spiritual capacity through tireless feeding on God’s word 2Tim. 2:2; 3:13; 4:13. In essence, spiritual maturity is not about age (physical or spiritual), but about depth in spiritual things Job 32L7-8; Mat. 13:23; Heb. 5:13-14.
In conclusion, a baby lion is designed to be the king of the jungle, but need to grow to maturity before he can become it in reality. As a baby lion, it will be a prey instead of a predator; but when it grows to an adult lion, it will sit at top of the food chain. The same goes for the believer, he carries the supernatural life at new birth, but his spiritual growth makes him to operate in it Gal. 4:1-3.
To anyone reading this who would love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
- Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to embrace the demand of my spiritual growth from now 2:40.
- Father in the name of Jesus, I am operating in the reality of the supernatural from today 3:8.

We live in a world that is a battlefield, it is by warfare that we take delivery of our rights and desires Deu. 2:24; Eph. 6:12; 1Cor. 16:9. The believer is ordained for victory in life, no matter the battle 2Cor. 2:14; Rms. 8:37. But we have the weapons ordained for the believer’s unquestionable victory, […]
We understand from scriptures that the natural was made out of the supernatural or the unseen realm Heb. 11:3. This is why the supernatural is ever superior and in control of the natural realm any time, any day. When an individual gains command of the supernatural, he controls the natural naturally Jn. 3:31. The good […]
The scriptures make us to understand that the believer, by new birth, was translated from a human to a spirit being, which means he no longer belongs to the natural but supernatural realm Col. 1:13-14; Jn. 3:6-8. In essence, the supernatural is not supposed to be strange to the believer, or what he seeks after, […]
The new birth translates the believer from the natural into the supernatural realm Col. 1:13-14. Therefore, the supernatural is ordained to be the normal experience of the believer as a proof that he has experienced new birth indeed Isa. 8:18; Jn. 3:8. The supernatural is the secret behind the dominion of the believer in life; […]
