We have established from scriptures that life has two (2) sides, and every man belong to either of the sides 1Jn. 3:10; 2:15-17. It is either one belong to the ‘secret place’ or the secret cult, there is no middle point in life. The secret place is being on God’s side Psa. 91:1.

The Blessedness of Being on God’s Side.

1. i) God’s side is the safe ad secured side of life.

God’s side is the strong tower, when one is on that side of life, safety and absolute security is guaranteed Psa. 91:1-16; Pro. 18:10.

1. ii) God’s side is the favor side of life.

When the believer is on God’s side, he walks automatically in divine favor in life Psa. 5:12; Exo. 3:21.

Scriptural Example of the Story of Men on God’s Side.

1. The Israelite.

When Israel got on God’s side in Egypt, God came down and brought them out of 400 years of bondage Exo. 3:7-10; 12:42. His manifest presence in their midst turned them into living wonder among men Psa. 114:1-8; Exo. 16:4,8,35; 13:21-22. They were brought into favor that terminated their emptiness Exo. 3:21; 12:36.

Gideon was turned into a one-man army, simply because of being on God’s side Jdg. 6:1-16; 7:1-17.

How to Remain on God’s Side.

1. Beware of pride.

Pride means a high or inordinate opinion of self, one’s dignity, importance, merit, or superiority; whether in the mind or conduct. Pride also means exaggerated estimation of self. Pride is a deadly sin that makes God to resist an individual, thereby disconnect him from God 1Pet. 5:5; Jms. 4:6,10. King Uzziah was an example of the plague of pride, he lost his throne and died a leper 2Chr. 26:15-21.

2. Beware of covetousness.

Covetousness means a strong desire for the things that belong to others. Covetousness will always result into envy, hatred, being resentful, malice, being ungrateful. Covetousness is a deadly sin, it will make the believer not to see any good thing that God has done in his life, resulting to a disconnection from God 1Tim. 6:6-10; Lk. 12:15. Achan was not only disconnected from God and the church, but lost his life to covetousness Jos. 7:19-26.

3. Continue to walk by faith.

Faith means confidence in God and His word that moves the believer to obey His word. Faith is the way to please God, and build a relationship with God Heb. 11:5-7,11-17,24-29,33-34. Faith is the covenant force that renders the devil and all powers of darkness, which are against the believer’s being on God’s side of non-effect Eph. 6:16. In essence, a walk of faith is essential to remain on God’s side 2Cor. 5:7.

4. Possess Righteousness consciousness.

Righteousness consciousness is about an undying crave for sanctification and continuous exercise unto godliness 1Tim. 4:7-8. This is fundamental to remaining on God’s side, and particularly to make it to heaven at the end of the day 2Cor. 5:21; 2Tim. 2:19-21.

Dangers of not being on God’s Side.

1. It blocks access to grace.

Grace is what determines man’s life on the earth; lack of grace results in a life of disgrace 1Cor. 15:10; Rms. 6:1. Particularly, the giving grace that brings men into financial fortune can be accessed only by being on God’s side 2Cor. 8:1-7; Isa. 66:1-3.

2. It blocks access to divine favor.

Favor is the cure for toiling, struggle, and hard life Psa. 44:3; Exo. 3:21. Favor can be accessed only by being on God’s side Psa. 5:12; 45:6-17; Lk. 2:52.

3. It engenders embattled life.

When Solomon moved off God’s side, his life became characterized by battles upon battles 1Kgs. 11:4,23.

In conclusion, there are secrets in life, they guarantee the success and greatness of man without sweat Deu. 29:29; Job 29:4-12. One of the secret of life is being on God’s side Exo. 33:14-15.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. 1. Father in the name of Jesus, I make the choice for God’s side in life, empower me by your Spirit to remain on God’s side to the end 32:26.
2. Father in the name of Jesus, I wage the blood war against every wile of the devil to take me away from God’s side 6:13.
