Thanksgiving is the art of celebrating God for what He has done Psa. 103:1-5. Scriptures make us to understand that it is what every man particularly the believer, owe God 1Ths. 1:3; 2Ths. 2:13. Any believer who is weak at giving thanks does not consciously take record of the acts of God in his life.

What are we Thanking God for today?

  1. For divers fulfilment of prophecies by the raw hands of God Duet. 18:21-22; 1Kgs. 8:15.

What are the prophetic words that have been fulfilled?

  1. God spoke to His servant, the Apostle over this commission, Bishop David Oyedepo that we shall soon see millions gathering to hear the word of God.

This was way back in 1982 that the word came from the Lord. Today, several millions were connected to Shiloh 2021 through various social media platform; Facebook, YouTube, website streaming etc. We have these millions from over one hundred and seventy-one (171) nations. Also, major TV network like DSTV and others were broadcasting Shiloh 2021 live, to God’s glory.

  1. Massive increase of attendance over Shiloh 2020 across our various viewing centres.

Remember, no man can come except they were drawn by God’s hand Jn. 6:44. If the attendance increased, it must be God who brought the extra people, the reason why we must thank Him.

  1. There are stronger waves of signs, wonders and diverse miracles recorded this year above what we had at previous Shiloh events.

Scriptures make us to understand wonders are the exclusive handiwork of God Psa. 118:23; 135:4; Exo. 3:19.

  • For the fulfilment of the prophetic word concerning the cell growth and replication for 2021.

This prophetic word came forth at the beginning of the years, and this has been fully delivered Psa. 127:1-2; Matt. 6:27. Our record has it that over 100 percent increase in our cells to the glory of God!

Why must we give God thanks?

  1. It is a debt we owe God.

God demand is that every man must return to give Him the glory for every of His acts in the man’s life Lk. 17:15-19. When we fail to do this, by refusing to give God the glory that is due to Him, it is counted as debt against the individual. Two scriptural reasons why no one should hold back from giving God thanks:

  1. We are not permitted to owe; debt is anti-scripture Rms. 13:8.
  2. God cannot stand any other person holding to His glory Isa. 42:8. In essence, God counts it against anyone who holds unto His glory.
  3. To preserve your blessing.

The blessing of God is designed to be forever Eccl. 3:14. But their lifespan will be determined by our thanksgiving Mal. 2:1-3. In essence, thanksgiving is a spiritual preservative that makes God’s blessing to last in our lives.

  • To multiply our blessings.

The evidence of life is increase and growth; when this is lacking, it indicates death. The proof of life is us is when the blessing on our lives is multiplying, and when there is no increase there must be decrease. Scriptures teach us that thanksgiving makes things to multiply; in essence, thanksgiving is a spiritual yeast or multiplier Jer. 30:19.

  • To perfect our blessings.

To perfect means having all, the required or desirable elements, qualities or characteristics as good as it is possible. This is the intention of God for everything He does, but we get it accomplished together with time in our lives Jms. 1:17; 1Cor. 3:9. Our thanksgiving to God makes whatever is lacking in our blessing to be added, making the blessing to become perfect.

In conclusion, the thanksgivings that will deliver result is one that is done quickly and prompt Jer. 13:15-17. And that is what we are doing today, to immediately celebrate God for what we can see HE has done at Shiloh 2021. I see the effect showing amazingly in your life!

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for your manifest presence, the sent word, salvation, transformed lives at Shiloh 2021 and specifically for the encounters in my life Psa. 40:5.
