God’s kingdom to which we belong is a kingdom that operates by mysteries; understanding of the mysteries is what turns the believer to a master over life issues Mk. 4:11; Eph. 3:1-5. One of such is the mystery of the anointing oil, which also is one of the wonders in the word. It was initiated by God Himself, as a ‘forever ordinance’ for His children Exo. 30:25-29,31; Eccl. 3:14. Therefore, our focus is UNDERSTANDING THE POWER IN THE ANOINTING OIL.

What is in the Anointing Oil?

1. The person of the Holy Spirit 1Sam. 16:13.

In essence, everyone might see oil; the believer is rather to see the Holy Spirit in the bottle. Someone might say, but that is heretic; I will say that is the mystery of scriptures.

• The breakthrough power of God Isa. 45:1-3; Lk. 4:14,18,37.

Breakthrough means progress in the face of obvious oppositions. In essence, with the anointing oil, no opposition succeeds at standing against the believer.

• The yoke-destroying power of God Isa. 10:25-27; 59:19.

A yoke is anything that ties or holds the destiny of an individual down from advancing. The Holy Spirit in the anointing oil is a specialist in destroying such things, to establish the advancement of the believer.

• The exemption power of God Psa. 105:13-15; Eph. 1:13.

The oil is the Holy Spirit, when He comes on anyone He forbids the hand of the devil to touch such person thereafter. Example, King Saul could not harm David despite several attempts because oil was poured on David.

• The healing power of God Mk. 6:7,11-13; Jms. 5:14-15.

Behind every sickness is a spirit of the devil Lk. 13:11. The Holy Spirit in the oil casts evil spirit out, thereby bringing instant healing to the sick Matt. 12:28; Rms. 8:11.

• The miracle working power of God Lk. 9:1-2; 10:1,17-19.

A miracle is the act of God, which cannot be explained by men yet cannot be denied. Every time the Holy Spirit is invoked, a miracle will be delivered by the power of God in the situation.

• The restoration power of God 1Sam. 10:1-2; Joel 2:23-26.

Restoration is bringing back what was lost by the believer in the past to the enemy. The Holy Spirit who is in the oil will always enforce the return of whatever the enemy has taken or stolen from the believer, concerning in rights in Christ.

• The turnaround power of God 1Sam. 10:6; Acts 2:14-41.

Newton’s First Law of Motion says every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion until an external force is applied. The Holy Spirit is the power or force that the believer needs to force a change or turnaround; else things may continue that way it has been with him. In essence, when the believer is anointed with the oil, God’s power is invoked to force a change as desired in his life. Example; David after he was anointed with oil, he changed from a shepherd boy to chief of staff 1Sam. 16:13,16-19.

• The enthronement power of God 1Sam. 10:1,7; 1Kgs, 19:15-16; Rev. 5:9-10.

No king ever ascends the throne in God’s kingdom without the power needed to sit on that throne. Every believer was redeemed as a king, but it takes the power of the Holy Spirit for him to ascend his throne in life. This is what the anointing oil offers!

How to Engage or Apply the Anointing Oil.

1. On the forehead or body part of concern Ezk. 9:6; Jms. 5:14.

This releases the Holy Spirit on the individual, or the part of the body it is applies for the power of God to take go to work.

1. Take a shot Matt. 3:11-13; 15:13; Rms. 8:11.

This is taking-in the Holy Spirit by drinking a bit of it; when this done, the Holy Spirit goes in to give life to every part of the believer’s body. Also, the Holy Spirit is fire; He burns off all that was not planted by God inside the body of the believer, to establish his health and strength.

1. Anoint buildings and properties Exo. 30:26-29.

This is to make such property or building to be separated unto God, hence making them a touch not to the wicked.

In conclusion, God has given the believer all it takes, to experience the best of life. But each one has the power to choose to accept or reject God’s provision Deut. 30:19. The choice to receive, believe and apply the anointing oil is wisdom, for a glorious life.

Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Father, in the name of Jesus, by the anointing oil of today, every of my desired testimony is instantly delivered to me by the power of God 1Sam. 10:1.
