UNVEILING THE WONDERS IN THE WORD PT. 2.

New birth initiates the believer into the world of wonders, thereby making his life to become a wonder to men Zch. 3:8; Isa. 8:18. But he needs to understand how to activate this divine order in his life. It is lack of the understanding that results in struggle and frustration in a believer Eccl. 10:15. It takes the opening of the eyes of the believer to the wonders in God’s word, for the believer to experience wonders in reality in his life Eph. 1:17-18; Psa. 119:18.

What is in God’s word that Guarantees Wonders?

  1. God’s word is prophetic.

Prophetic means to foretell, or to speak of the future of what will happen, or to make known what does not exist now but will come to be. God’s word is prophetic; in essence, whatever it says is ordained for fulfilment 2Pet. 1:19-20; Lk. 1:45; Isa. 14:24; 55:10-11. Therefore, whatever the believer desires, once he can locate God’s word that covers it, he has the guarantee of experiencing it in reality.

  • God’s word transforms.

Transform means to change something both in shape and form. In essence, God’s word does not leave the life of the believer the same, it changes it form glory to glory 2Cor. 3:18. When the eyes of the believer open to the light in the word of God, and he walks in it, there will be instant changes in his life Isa. 60:1-2; Rms. 12:2. In essence, all that a believer needs for his life to become glorious is in the word. But he needs his eyes to see those great things in God’s word, particularly in the aspect of life of concern, and he is guaranteed to emerge a wonder 2Pet. 1:4.

How to Tap into the Wonders of the Word.

The believer that truly desire access to the wonders in the word must embrace certain demands.

  1. Be committed to a lifestyle of prayer and fasting for access to outbreak of light Isa. 58:6-8; 2Cor. 4:4.

Prayer and fasting is a covenant access for the opening of the eyes, which enables the believer to see the light in the word. This is why believers who are weak in prayer and fasting often are denied a lot of their rights in Christ.

  1. Prompt response to every encounter with light Gen. 12:1-4; 22:1-4,16-18.

Sin will block a man’s access into the things in God’s word, a when the believer responds to the light encountered in the word, he is entitled to fresh light. The more prompt we do to such encounters, the more we access more and brighter light from the word.

In conclusion, God’s word has no geographical boundaries, it has universal application. God’s word has no age, cultural or racial limits; it can turn any dummy to a global celebrity. But each one that will experience the wonders, of God’s word must accept the responsibility for it.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, open my eyes to behold wonders in your word, thereby turn my life to a wonder in all aspects henceforth Psa. 119:18.
