We serve the God of predestination Rms. 8:29-30. He knows you and had pre-determined your life before you came forth on the earth; this is what we call destiny Jer. 1:5; Gal. 1:15-16. No matter how great the plan a man has for his life, it is nothing in comparison with what God has planned for him Isa. 55:8-9; Jer. 29:11.
What Does the Believer’s Destiny look like?
- The believer has a glorious destiny Rms. 8:29-30; 2Pet. 1:2.
God’s plan for everyone that is born again, no matter his background, is the life of glory.
- The believer has an enviable destiny Gen. 26:14; Gal. 4:28.
The moment a man becomes born again, he had crossed into the life where he will be producing such result that will make everyone envy him.
- The believer has a prosperous destiny Rev. 5:12; 3 Jn. 2.
When an individual comes into Christ, he has come into the realm of prosperity. This is not a function of his family background, education or type of job, but God’s plan for his life.
How Can One Experience Destiny?
When an individual succeeds at stepping into God’s plan or a new phase of God’s plan for his life, then he has encountered destiny. What are the scriptural factors that will empower an individual to encounter destiny?
- Be spiritually minded Rms. 8:5-6; 1Cor. 2:12-14.
Destiny is a spiritual thing, because it is of God. Therefore, only spiritual men can access it. Being spiritually minded means to have one’s mind filled with things of God constantly.
- Love for God Jn. 15:15; 1Cor. 2:9-10.
Love for God makes an individual to become a friend of God, which grants free access to all secrets of God, destiny inclusive. Love for God is a choice that individuals have to make.
- Be committed to craving for revelation 2Cor. 3:18; Lk. 4:16-21; Isa. 29:11-12.
Every man’s destiny is contained in scriptures; therefore, every encounter in God’s word opens a new chapter in the individual’s life. Therefore, for encounter with destiny, the believer must go after encounter in God’s word. This is through listening, reading, studying, meditation and practice of the word.
- Be committed to walking in the Spirit Gal. 5:25; Rev. 1:10.
To walk in the Spirit, it means to have every step of one’s life dictated and controlled by God’s Spirit. It takes walking in the Spirit or being in the Spirit to ever hear the voice of God that delivers encounter with destiny. In essence, to have encounter with destiny, one must strive to walk in the Spirit as a lifestyle.
- Be committed to a life of prayer and praise Jer. 33:3; Psa. 16:11.
Prayer and praise are two (2) scriptural ways to gain access to the voice of God, which is the access to encounter with destiny. Every believer that will have encounter with destiny must be a man given to prayer as a lifestyle, as well as praise.
In conclusion, the believer has a destiny of no limits in Christ Pro. 4:18. But he has the responsibility to make this become the reality in his life. Expect the opening of a new chapter in your life right now.
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”
Prayer.
- Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit to imbibe all the scriptural demands for encounters with destiny as my lifestyle from today 1Cor. 15:10.
- Father in the name of Jesus, by the help of the Holy Spirit, my glorious enviable and prosperous destiny in Christ shall find practical fulfillment from today Psa. 60:11-12.

Sanctification is possible; others in the past have lived in its reality, anyone can make it happen again Ecc. 1:9. Examples are Joseph (Gen. 39:1-9), Daniel (Dan. 1:6-8). Paul the apostle (1Ths. 2:10), What we need is to find out the path they walked in that made them achieve sanctified life (Jer. 6:16; Heb. 6:12). […]
Sanctification is a commandment of scripture to every believer 1Ths. 4:3,7. God will not demand from us what He has not endowed with grace or empowered us for Jdg. 6:14; 1Jn. 5:3. This means that sanctification is a choice not a gift Deu. 30:19; Mat. 5:6. The sanctified life will remain an impossibility without faith […]
The resurrection of Christ from the dead was by the act of God through the operation of the exceeding greatness of His power Col. 2:12-15; Rms. 8:11. Resurrection therefore can be said to be the hiding place of God’s exceeding great power Eph. 1:19-20. Our God has a nature of repeating His act again and […]
Outstanding success is the birthright of every believer Deu. 28:13; Mat. 5:13-14. Just like a baby-elephant carries the genes of ‘bigness’, so, every believer carries the genes of success. The baby-elephant must be subjected to the demands that make the big size actualized. Thus, every believer who will actualize his heritage of outstanding success must […]
