We must first appreciate the truth that we live in a world characterized by unrest, and has plenty trouble for everything in it including man Jn. 16:33; 1Jn. 5:19. But the scriptures make us to understand that all-round rest is the will of God for the redeemed Jn. 14:27; Mat. 11:28-29. Therefore, to enjoy rest in a troubled world, the believer must always have God’s presence.  But two cannot walk together expect they agree, and nothing secures divine presence like the fear of God as a lifestyle Amos 3:3; Gen. 39:5,9,21-22;  42:18.

The Covenant Demands to Divine Presence that will Guarantee All Round Rest.

  1. Allow Jesus into your boat.

In essence, be born again and no matter the storm you will remain at rest Rev. 3:20; Mk. 4:35-41. God will fight your battle and give you victory Exo. 14:14.

  • Stay in love with Christ by cleaving to Him as in marriage.

Jesus is the Prince of peace; with Him as the believer’s ‘husband’, all round peace becomes his experience 2Cor. 11:1-2; Isa. 9:6; Deu. 11:23-25. All things work together for those who love God, including that peace that passes all knowledge Rms. 8:28; Php. 4:7.

  • Enter into a covenant to serve God with all your heart and with the whole of your being,

The commitment to serve God makes all-round rest to become the believer’s portion 2Chr. 15:12-15; Psa. 34:10; Mat. 6:33.

In conclusion, rest is vital in life; it is a basic requirement for divine intervention Exo.14:13-14. Rest is also vital because it is key for victory in the battles of life, which are unavoidable Php. 1:28. Rest does not happen on its own, but made to happen as individuals engage the covenant demands. You can have rest in your life no matter the storms facing your life now. It is all a matter of choice, and your commitment to do what we have identified that enforces rest in a man’s life.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, I curse every unrest in my life now, and I decree they are terminated Mk. 4:39.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, by the authority of your word I step into rest in every area of my life Mat. 11:28.
  3. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace for the demand of serving God with all my heart for my all round rest 2Chr. 15:12,15.
