Our God is popularly mistaken as slow, but scriptures say it categorically that God is not slow 2Pet. 3:9. What we understand from scriptures is that our God is quick at what He does Rms. 9:28; Jn. 13:27. In essence, whatever God says He goes ahead to deliver quickly! But we must remember that we serve a covenant keeping God; there is always our part of everything He promises Psa. 89:34. When our side of the deal is fulfilled, we have committed God to deliver His promise.
What are the Demands on us to Take the Year by Storm?
Recap: Register in God’s army.
This is by becoming an active member of the home-cell. We said the home-cell is the kingdom’s strategy for attending to the God’s people Exo. 18:19-26. When one is not found where God has ordained, one misses out of whatever God has provided Gen. 3:8; Jer. 18:1-2.
- Be convinced on what God says for the year.
Often, the challenge with many of us is that we agree (believe) in what God says, but not convinced on it. The point of conviction id what is called faith in God! What is the difference between agreement (believe) and conviction (faith). God told Abraham at 75 that he will have a child from his wife Sarah who was 65, and Abraham believed Gen. 15:3-6. But at this point, there was no evidence that Abraham was convinced of what God said. This is because at 85, by Sarah’s advise they went for the child through Hagar (Sarah’s maid), and got Ishmael Gen. 16:1-3; 17:18-20. Abraham at 99 had an encounter with God that strengthened his heart, and brought him to the point of conviction Gen. 17:1-3,21-27. I strongly believe that the shift in Abraham’s heart came when he circumcised himself at that age and didn’t die. I believe it was more of an experience of dying and coming out of the dead. And the proof that Abraham has come to the point of conviction was that when he and Sarah entertained the angels, and was told they should expect their promised child next year, it was only Sarah that laughed Gen. 18:10-12. This was the point that Apostle Paul made reverence to that Abraham was strong in faith, and this hastened the promise of God into manifestation Rms. 4:20-21.
How do I come to the point of conviction? Keep your attention on what God said; hear, think on, and say it over and again Rms. 10:17.
- Engage the prayer altar.
Every faith that will deliver result must be engaged, and one guaranteed way is on the prayer altar Mat. 21:22; Mk. 11:24. When faith is not engaged, no matter how great it won’t produce any result. Let’s see a mystery now! Scriptures make us to understand that to make the prayer altar deliver the best, the believer should focus on kingdom advancement Mat. 6:9-10,33. In essence, when our faith is alive, we should engage it on the prayer altar primarily not to demand for our needs, rather for the advancement of God’s kingdom. The scriptures guarantee us that as we do, all our needs, beyond what we developed our faith for shall be supernaturally met Mat. 6:33.
In conclusion, I therefore want to welcome you to your year of years! All through this year, you will be like in a dream land for the great things shall be happening all around your life!
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to take full responsibility for the speedy delivery of all that God has packaged for me in this glorious year 1Cor. 15:10.

There is whom God created each person to be and what to do; these are contained in His plan and purpose for the individual (Jer. 29:11). These have to be discovered, called vision; the discovery is personal and is either by encounter with God or through God’s word (Hab. 2:1-3; Psa. 119:105). The reason for […]
Vision is a discovery of divine plan as it relates to an individual or a people (Hab. 2:1-3; Jer. 29:11). It is a picture of the future we access through either divine encounter or as captured from scriptures (Exo. 3:3-10; Isa. 2:1-2). It is not a goal one sets or a thing to formulated, but […]
