Challenges and storms of life are not to be considered as strange in the believer’s life. Scriptures make us to understand that essentially they are part of our walk with God, and their purpose is to make us stronger in our walk of faith Jms. 1:2; Matt. 8:23-26; 14:22-32. But by redemption, we are not permitted to suffer beyond a while or a moment 1Pet. 5:10; 2Cor. 4:17.

Scriptural Understanding of ‘A While’ or ‘A  Moment’.

1. One hour Matt. 8:8-10,13; Rev, 18:2,10.
2. Overnight or twelve hours Psa. 30:5.
3. One day or twenty-four hours 2Cor. 6:2; Rev. 18:2,8.
4. Three days Jn. 2:19-22; Hos. 6:2.

When any unwanted situation goes beyond any of these time period, it has become a long continuance, which is a curse Deut. 28:59. The good news is that Christ has taken care of the curse of the law, so every case of long continuance is illegal Gal. 3:13-14. Remember, every provision of God’s kingdom has to be enforced before it can be experienced in reality Matt. 11:!2; Lk. 16:16.

Covenant Forces to Enforce our Settlement.

1. The understanding of God as the God of settlement Psa. 91:14.

The understanding of God an individual has is what defines his experience in life. There is something about understanding God by His name, it always invoke God to manifest in that dimension Gen. 22:7-8,11-14. To everyone that desire settlement, understand that we serve the God of settlement.

• Be committed to build your faith.

All the forces behind storms, challenges, evil occurrence in life bow to the force of faith Eph. 6:16; 1Jn 5:4. When one’s faith comes alive, rest and settlement is guaranteed Heb. 4:9-12. But faith is a personal responsibility; it must be built by each person by feeding on God’s word Rms 10:17.

• Enter into a covenant to keep serving God Exo. 4:22-23; Matt. 6:33.

Every man is serving something consciously or otherwise. And who or what a man serve in life will determine how his life will be Psa 115:8; 135:8, Matt 10:24-25. You can’t be serving God, and not look like Him. The commitment to serve God enforces and sustains the believer’s settlement. Serving God is all about engaging in advancing His kingdom by praying advancement prayer, and soul winning.

• Violently demand for your desired settlement 1Chr. 4:9-10; Exo. 3:7-10.

You don’t watch what you don’t want. When it is an unwanted situation, we clear it off to by demanding for and violently declaring our settlement.

• Be committed to the lifestyle of Promise Acts. 16:25-26; 2 Chr. 20:20-24.

Praise will always invoke God to work, which will make every unwanted situation to be forcefully terminated. In essence, the praise-full believer is one who will never stay longer than scripturally allowed in an unwanted situation.

In conclusion, every storm can be forced to end when we accept the responsibility. There is no storm that is designed to last forever in life. Therefore, if settlement is the desire, one must first settle with God by becoming genuinely born again.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”
