Every revival is designed by God as a season of refreshing for the believer, which will culminate in the supernatural rise of giants Psa. 85:6. But our understanding of the season and how to make the most of it is vital to enjoy the blessings of revival.
What is a Revival?
- A revival is a move of God’s Spirit across the people of all age groups, culminating in diverse supernatural turnarounds Joe. 2:28-29; Isa 44:3-5.
A revival is a season when the Holy Spirit is expressly at work. When the Holy Spirit is at work, the end result is dramatic and drastic positive changes for everyone that will plug into it Isa. 32:15.
- A revival is a move of God’s Spirit that unleashes the Spirit of prayer and supplication upon God’s people, resulting in mass salvation of souls and explosive church growth Zch. 12:10; 8:20-23; Isa. 66:7-8.
There can be no revival without the Holy Spirit; if we desire a revival therefore, we must understand how to get the Holy Spirit at work. When the Holy Spirit is at work, men will suddenly become committed to prayer, with the outcome of salvation of souls and church growth.
How to Identify the Season of Revival.
When the Holy Spirit is at work, certain things will show it. Some of which are:
- Praying kingdom advancement prayers becomes a delight.
When there is a revival, believers and men will be awaken to the life of prayer Zch. 12:10; Lk. 4:1-2. The prayer will be kingdom advancement focussed, not prayer for things and self Mat. 6:6,9-10,17.
- Undying passion to see souls saved.
In a revival, believers lose interest in other things but to see men delivered from sin and Satan 1Cor. 9:16, Php. 1:21; Jn. 15:16.
What is in a Revival for us?
The Spirit of God is the carrier and communicator of God’s blessing Lk. 3:21-22. Whenever He is at work, the believer experiences the blessings of God. What are some of the blessings?
- The life of every engaging believer is transformed.
In a revival, the life of men is ordained for supernatural transformation Isa, 61:1-7; Zch. 8:20-23. But only those that engage in the revival will partake of the blessing.
- Dominion is conferred on every engaging believer.
When the Holy Spirit is at work, believers are empowered to take charge in life Acts 1:8; Psa. 66:7; 110:1-2. But only those that engage in the revival can partake of the empowerment.
- Needs are supernaturally met for engaging believers.
When the Holy Spirit is at work, believer’s needs are supernaturally taken care of Lk. 22:35; Php. 4:15-19. But only believers that engage in the revival can experience this.
How to be a Part of a Revival?
- Commit to ingathering of souls into the church.
Every revival is ordained for influx of multitude into God’s kingdom and the church Acts 2:1-6,41,47. Therefore, the believer that commits to ingathering of souls into the church is engaging in the revival, and by that is entitled to partake of the blessing of the revival season.
In conclusion, we are in a strange season; it is revival time, a time of great opportunities and strange order of blessings. Every wise believer must take advantage of the season for dramatic change of story. You will not miss this season of your life!

Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

We live in a world that is a battlefield, it is by warfare that we take delivery of our rights and desires Deu. 2:24; Eph. 6:12; 1Cor. 16:9. We understand from scriptures that the natural was made out of the supernatural or the unseen realm Heb. 11:3. This is why the supernatural is ever superior and in control of the natural realm any time, any day. When an individual gains command of the supernatural, he controls the natural naturally Jn. 3:31. The good […]
The scriptures make us to understand that the believer, by new birth, was translated from a human to a spirit being, which means he no longer belongs to the natural but supernatural realm Col. 1:13-14; Jn. 3:6-8. In essence, the supernatural is not supposed to be strange to the believer, or what he seeks after, […]
The new birth translates the believer from the natural into the supernatural realm Col. 1:13-14.
