It is very important that we understand we are in a revival season; among others it is because we are in the mid-year ordained for revival Hab. 3:2; Lk. 19:41-44. A good understanding of a revival is vital to maximize the season therefore.

What is a Revival?

  1. A revival is a move of the Spirit of God that rescues God’s people from age-long bondages, culminating in their supernatural change of story Hab. 3:2-6,17-19; Zph. 3:17-19.

When by the Spirit of God long standing challenges and problems are giving way and becoming solved, this is revival.

  • A revival is a move of the Spirit of God that drafts multitudes into the kingdom, thereby turning churches into cities without walls Mic. 4:1-2; Zch. 2:4-5; Acts 13:44.

When by the Spirit of God, unusual multitudes are attracted into the church continually, and stay to make the church become overflowing centre, this is revival.

How to Identify the Season of Revival.

In essence, when there is a revival, what are the hallmarks that will show it?

  1. A revival is said to occur when men begin to seek after God in genuine repentance.

You know a revival by the way people will be losing taste for sin, and turning to God Jon. 3:5-8.

  1. A revival is said to occur when men begin to take pleasure in the things of the kingdom as a way of life.

You know a revival by the way people develop interest in God and the things of His kingdom. The things of God that people used to detest, despise and are uninterested about, now become the ‘big deal’ they go for.

What is in a Revival for us?

Every revival is ordained for the rise of the believer, who cares to engage.

  1. Everlasting mountains clear the way for the believer in a revival.

These are challenges, problems and plagues that have continued for long and defied all solution. These are all cleared off in a revival Hab. 3:2-6; Psa. 114:1-8.

  • The believer enjoys divine favor in a revival.

A revival season is a time the strange favor of God is unleashed on believers Acts. 2:1-3,47; Psa. 102:13-15.

How to be a Part of a Revival?

  1. Commit to kingdom advancement endeavor.

The outpouring of the Spirit of God is essentially to empower the believer to pursue the expansion of God’s kingdom Acts 1:8. In essence, if a believer desires to partake of the Holy Spirit that is poured out in a  revival, he must become committed to the advancement of God’s kingdom; on the prayer altar, soul winning outreaches, establishment of converts in follow-up, and using his means to meet needs of converts to see the abide in the faith.

In conclusion, this month is a strange one, with great promises in store for the believer. This is a month that each one’s story is bound to change from shame to glory, but it demands that we make the right choice for kingdom advancement engagement like never before.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive your grace to meet the demand for the season, so I don’t miss out of this revival 1Cor. 15:10.
  2. Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit for tireless pursuit after kingdom advancement from today Acts 1:8.
  3. Father, baptize me with the Spirit of wisdom that will enable me take over my territory for Christ in this on-going revival, resulting in great multitude following to this church next Sunday Acts 8:5-8.
  4. Father in the name of Jesus, my life must be an evidence of this on-going revival in supernatural change of level and story Zph. 3:17-10.
