UNDERSTANDING THE BLESSEDNESS OF A REVIVAL 250623 PT. 4.

Revival is laden or heavily loaded with blessings that it guarantees the dramatic change of story for any man Psa. 85:6; Hos. 6:2. Remember, our understanding on any issue will determine our experience, performance or outcome in it Pro. 13:15; Mat. 13:23. In essence, we need a good understanding of revival in order to maximize it Lk. 19:41-44. The good news is that, we are in a revival season, so we should expect amazing blessing in our lives as we correctly position in this revival Hab. 3:1-6.

What is a Revival?

  1. A revival is a move of the Spirit of God across the people of all age groups, culminating in diverse supernatural turnaround.

In essence, revival is when the Holy Spirit is in operation, which cuts across all the age groups and classes of men Joel. 2:28-29. One feature of the Holy Spirit in operation is, sudden and dramatic turnaround in the lives of men Isa. 32:17; 44:3-5.

  • A revival is a move of the Spirit of God that unleashes the Spirit of prayer and supplication on God’s people, resulting in mass salvation of souls and explosive church growth.

In essence, you can’t talk about a revival without having the Holy Spirit at work like never experienced before among the people. Among others, when the Holy Spirit is at work the prayer altar of believers come alive Zch. 12:10; Acts 2:1-4,42; 3:1. Remember, the labor room of prayer is the birthplace of souls into the kingdom, resulting in the mass salvation witnessed in every revival Isa. 66:7-8; Zch. 8:20-23.

What are the things that Identifies a Revival?

These are the indicators which will enable the believer to assess and ascertain that the revival is happening in his life.

  1. A revival is said to occur when praying kingdom advancement prayer becomes a delight.

In every true revival, prayer is no longer an unattractive and tedious exercise; suddenly prayer becomes an excitement and delight to the believer Zch. 8:20-22. Prayer is the breath of a believer that is truly engaging in a revival 1Ths. 5:17; Mat. 6:6,9-10,17-18.

  1. A revival is said to occur when one is consumed with undying passion to see souls saved.

 In every true revival, the passion to see souls saved become strong and over-riding in God’s people 1Cor. 9:16. Believer’s become unashamed of the gospel, and will go the full length to get the unsaved to receive salvation Rms. 1:16; Jn. 15:16.

If any believer can’t identify with these indicators of a revival, it means the revival is yet to happen in his life.

What is in a Revival for Us?

In essence, what are the blessings of experiencing a revival as a person?

  1. Every engaging believer’s life is transformed.

Every time the Holy Spirit is at work, believers that are part of the move are transformed supernaturally in all areas of their life Isa. 61:1-7; Zch. 8:20-23.

  • Dominion is conferred on every engaging believer.

Every move of God’s Spirit establishes the believer who is a part in his heritage of dominion Pro. 11:30; 8:15-16; Dan. 12:3.

  • Engaging believer’s needs are supernaturally met.

Every move of God’s Spirit terminates all forms of lack, as the needs of believer that is a part of the move is supernaturally supplied Lk. 22:35; Php. 4:19.

In conclusion, how do I become a part of this revival?  How do I ensure this revival happen in my life? First, one must crave for the revival; the Holy Spirit will only respond to where there is craving for Him Jn. 7:37-39; Isa. 44:3-5. Second, one must engage the prayer altar for kingdom advancement; because every revival is triggered and sustained by prayer Hab. 3:1-2; Acts 2:1-4. This is a season ordained for the dramatic change of men’s story, but each one will determine his outcome by his choice and action.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me, thank you Jesus for restoring me, thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, I long for the move of the Spirit in my life at a dimension I have never experienced before Psa. 63:1-2; Isa. 44:3-4.
  2. Father send revival on the life right now, as you set me on fire for you and your kingdom Psa. 85:6.
  3. Father in the name of Jesus, baptize me with the Spirit of grace and supplication like never before right now Zch. 12:10.
  4. Father in the name of Jesus, ignite the passion for salvation of souls in me right now 1Cor. 9:16.
