The best way to make the most of life on the earth is to follow the guidance of the one who knows everything about life, and that is God the author and creator of life Isa. 48:17; Deut. 32:9-14. But we must understand how God leads for us to receive divine guidance Eccl. 10:15. Scriptures make us to understand that God is ever ready and willing to guide His children; it is the lack of understanding of how He leads that is the challenge of believers Psa. 32:8. It is said, what you don’t know, you don’t know. What you don’t learn, you can’t know. And what you don’t know, you will pay for it Isa. 5:13; 1Cor. 2:11-12. God is still leads today, we only need to be willing to be led and know how God leads to enjoy divine guidance.

How to Access Divine Guidance.

In essence, what are the requirements to hear God’s voice that leads?

  1. Be born again Jn. 3:3; 1:12; Rms. 8:14.

Only the child of goat can hear and understand the sound of the mother goat. In the same way, only a true child of God can hear and understand the voice of God Jn. 10:4-5,27. Therefore, the first step to be led by God is to become truly born again and remain so, which is what makes one to be a true child of God.

  • Be meek Psa. 25:9,12; Num. 12:1-3.

Meekness is the quality of acknowledging that one does not know it, but willing to learn and be corrected. For God to speak and a believer to hear and be led, the believer must have this quality of meekness. Meekness is a choice each person has to make, and a character to develop. The opposite of meekness is pride, and it is behind the failure and frustration of many in church.

  • Be baptised with the Holy Spirit Jn. 16:12-15; Acts 8:29.

God leads the believer in today’s dispensation essentially through the voice of the Holy Spirit. In essence, every believer that desires to be led by God must be filled with the Holy Spirit, and this can only be though the experience of baptism with the Holy Spirit. To become filed with the Holy Spirit, I will refer you to the messages of last month, or get to our Believers’ Foundation School.

Biblical Proofs of Being Led by the Holy Spirit.

  1. The peace of God the passes all understand Psa. 23:1-2; 85:8; Isa. 48:17-18; Php. 4:7.

When God leads, the believer will experience peace all the way. When there is no peace but unrest, the believer must check whether he is on the path of divine guidance. In some situations when one is following divine guidance and there is storm, one simply need to rebuke the storm and peace will be restored Matt. 8:23-26.

  1. Supernatural favor Exo. 3:21; Psa. 23:1,6; Lk. 22:35.

When God leads, result will answer to the believer with little effort, and this is what we call supernatural favor. A vivid scriptural example is the net-breaking and boat-sinking catch that Peter had when he followed the instruction of Jesus on when and where to cast his net Lk. 5:3-8.

In conclusion, no matter your level now, you are designed for the top in life. Also, no matter your situation now, you are not made to struggle through life despite that life is never free of challenges. But until we submit to divine guidance, we may never be free from struggle nor ever rise from the present level Deut. 32:9-14. The good news is that your story is changing from this day!

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I make the choice for divine guidance from today, cause my ears and eyes to open to your voice and empower me to walk in your guidance from now Jn. 10:27.
