We live in a world of battles, where everyone has the responsibility to fight before he can gain access to what belong to him 1Tim. 6:12; Deu. 2:24. It is not enough to engage in this battle, more important is victory in the battle for, one to truly take delivery of his desires and inheritances in life. The good news is that our God is a man of war, who does not return from any battle defeated Ex. 15:3; Psa. 24:8; Jer. 32:17. And one nature of God is that of taking over the battles of His children, which He still does today 2Chr. 20:17; Mal. 3:6; Heb. 13:8. When God takes over our battles, He establishes our victory and rescues us from all forms of satanic assaults Isa. 49:24-26. But there are covenant demands to make God take over one’s battle, what are these demands?
How to Get God to take over our Battles.
One of the benefits of coming into covenant with God is that God commits Himself to take over whatever that concerns the believer, including his battles in life Exo. 14:14. Genuine salvation experience is the first step into a covenant with God Gal. 3:13-14,29.
Every act of obedience that is borne out of faith in God moves God into the believer’s situation, thereby taking over his battles Deu. 28:1-3,7; Dan. 3:14-18,19-27. This is why faith in God demonstrated by obedience will always deliver victory in the believer’s life.
The fear of God is to hate evil and sin, which makes the believer to run from them Pro. 8:13. This virtue endears the believer to God, which moves God to stand up to everything that comes against that believer Gen. 42;18; 41:38,41; Dan. 1:8; 6:4-5,20-23.
Love for God makes the believer to become one with God, the believer’s battles automatically becomes God’s battle resulting in strange order of victory for the believer 1Jn. 4:16; 1Cor. 2:9; Isa. 43:1-4. Love for God is not in words alone, much more it is demonstrating one’s interest in what God loves with appropriate action 1Jn. 3:18; Jn. 3:16; Psa. 138:2; 84:2.
Commitment to serving God moves God to take interest in the believer’s affairs, and to take over his battles in life Exo. 4:22-23; Dan. 3:28. One cannot be serving God interest and not have God serve one’s interest in return, which will include taking over one’s battle Jms. 4:8.
The altar of prayer and fasting is the platform for invoking divine intervention Jer. 33:3. When God is so invoked, He steps into our battles to fight on our behalf, which will result in our supernatural victory Acts 12:5-12; 2Chr. 20:3-12.
God’s presence is the guarantee to ever winning experience in all life battles Rms. 8:31; Exo. 33:12-17. But a fundamental demand for God’s presence is a walk in holiness Heb. 12:14; Hab. 1:13; Psa. 15:1-5.
Praise is a covenant battle-transfer platform, where the believer authorizes God to take over the battles of his life 2Chr. 20:17,20-24; Jos. 6:1-20. In essence, when we battles confronting us and we engage in praise, celebrating God for who He is, we are essentially handing over the battle to God who never returns defeated in battle.
In conclusion, there is a realm in life where one does not know battles again, because every battle is taken over by God immediately it comes. This is the realm of more than conqueror, where the believer is never get defeated in life no matter the opposition. It is available to all, but only accessible by those who will pay the price for it.
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for
Prayer.
