Memory verse:

“When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:”

“But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.”

  • Lk. 11:21-22.

The salvation of souls is the heart-beat of God, and God’s responsibility for every believer Jn. 3:16; 15:16. The scriptures make us to understand that God takes delight in fellowshipping with man, this is one reason for creating him Gen. 1:26-27. After the fall of man in Eden, to have this relationship with God, a man must experience a rebirth Jn. 3:3-5. The challenge here is that Satan is all out to resist the rebirth or salvation of man 2Cor. 4:4. This is because outside of his hold on man, Satan has no legal right of influence on the earth Mat. 12:43-44; Lk. 11:24. Therefore, the task of getting souls saved involves a fight or warfare against Satan and his forces of darkness Lk. 11:21-22; Due. 2:24.

How to war to see souls saved.

  1. Understand that Satan is the arch-enemy of salvation of souls.

It is as souls are saved and added to the church that the church of Christ grows Acts 2:47. And Satan hates to see the church grow; He is behind the excuses people give and the reason behind their unwillingness to drop sin and submit to Christ 1Ths. 2:18; Lk. 14:17-21.

  • We must resist Satan steadfastly in the faith.

The scriptures make us to understand that the way to handle the devil is to give him no place, but resist him steadfastly in the faith Eph. 4:27; 1Pet. 5:8-9. When we do, Satan is sure to give way, which will result in the salvation of souls.

  • We must be drunk in the Holy Spirit.

The believer need the power of the Holy Spirit to resist Satan Isa. 59:19; Lk. 4:14-18. It is not what can be done in the energy of the flesh Zch. 4:6. In essence, for success in our soul winning drive, we must be filled with, and operate in the power of the Holy Spirit Eph. 5:18.

A great time has come upon us; I call it a defining moment in our lives as individuals. I pray that each of us by the help of the Holy Spirit shall make the most of the moment.
