Being born again is the escape from hard life, and initiation into the glorious and enviable life Jn. 10:10; Mat. 11:28. But we need to learn what it takes to experience this glorious life, commit to it, and our life will become a testimony to men Mat. 11:29; Jn. 8:36. The scriptures show us that serving God and the interest of His kingdom is the vital requirement for accessing all the blessings of redemption Psa. 34:8,10; Mat. 6:33. Serving God therefore, is not a mere religious activity, not a hobby, but a big-time business Exo. 23:25-26; Lk. 2:49; Rms. 12:11-12. Until the believer’s approach to serving God becomes that of business, he is not set for the blessings of the kingdom.
Platform for Kingdom Advancement Stewardship.
Some of the scriptural ways to engage in kingdom stewardship are the following.
- Praying for the increase of the word from the altar.
The more the word of God increases, the more men are drawn to Christ and the church Acts 6:7; 19:19-20. It takes intense prayer, demanding of God for the word, to make God’s word to increase Acts 6:4,7.
- Commitment to target friends with the testimonies of the Lord, both from the church and in your life.
Testimonies are great tools for kingdom harvest, they easily convince unbelievers to draw them to Christ and the church Jn. 4:39,48; Acts 9:34-35. In essence, we must be intentional in the use of testimonies to draw the unsaved to Christ from now; it is a way of service that has been neglected in the church Mk. 5:19.
What to do for our Stewardship to Qualify for Rewards.
It is not every engagement for God that guarantees return of blessing, but the service that is acceptable to God Heb. 12:28. What are some of the things that make our service acceptable?
- We must serve God unashamedly.
This is when we are not ashamed to engage for God openly before men Psa. 119:46; Mk. 8:38; Rms. 1:16. Our motive is not for men to see us, but that we are proud to be recognized with Christ and to work for Him.
- We must serve God sacrificially.
Sacrificial service means going in our engagement beyond our best, to the extent of being at a cost on our lives Lk. 12:49-50. This makes service to deliver rewards, and this is instantly Psa. 126:5-6.
The Returns for Kingdom Advancement Stewardship.
When service is acceptable to God, returns in form of rewards is sure. What are some of the returns?
- It secures divine presence.
Everyone truly serving God is guaranteed God’s manifest presence all the time Mat. 28:20; Mk. 16:20. And God’s presence will make man’s life to be different on the earth Acts 10:38.
- It is the platform for the rise of giants.
Serving God turns ordinary men into giants Lk. 22:25-27. Serving God makes wise, and wisdom will bring into greatness Pro. 11:30; Dan. 12:3.
- It secures a good old age.
Serving God commits God to keep and preserve the believer, because kingdom laborers are few Lk. 10:2; Jn. 15:2. When God keeps a man, he is guaranteed long and good life like the case of Abraham Gen. 25:8; Psa. 105:42; Heb. 6:12.
- It secures our future generations.
Serving God does not only impact on the believer’s life, the blessings pass on to the next and unborn generations Psa. 112:1-3. In essence, serving God secures our children’s destiny and those of generations after them Gen. 22:1-5,15-18.
In conclusion, serving God is a choice individuals have to make Jos. 24:15. But it is a choice that no one every regret! Will you make the choice now?

Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God.
