Marriage is central in the life of man; whatever affects it affects all other aspects of life Gen. 2:18; 3:20 [AMP]. Therefore, every challenge in marital life is a target at the glorious destiny of the believer. These marital challenges which can either be marital delay or marital crisis, are all the oppression of the devil Mat. 13:28; Eph. 6:12. The scriptures states clearly that marriage is good; timely, peaceful, joyful, fulfilling and a settled marital life is good Gen. 2:17-18. And God is committed to give every good thing to His children Pro. 34:10; 84:11; Jms. 1:17.

How to Actualize our Glorious Marital Destiny.

  1. Remain in love with God.

Love for God is a covenant force that invokes divine manifestation and intervention Jn. 14:21. Therefore, love for God will make the believer’s marriage to work and be glorious Rms. 8:28; 1Cor. 2:9.

  • Engage the power of faith.

Faith is another covenant force that guarantees God’s manifestation and intervention Heb. 11:6; Mk. 2:5. Therefore, faith at work will always silence any devil, and deliver the believer’s glorious marital destiny 1Jn. 5:4; Eph. 6:16. But faith has to be personally built, with God’s word Rms. 10:17.

  • Remain committed to kingdom advancement endeavor.

The believer that is committed to advancing God’s kingdom has committed God to advance his life Eph. 6:8; Gal. 6:7-8. Therefore, such believer cannot suffer marital breakdown or crisis. When the believer is into church growth, God takes care of every other thing in his life Mat. 6:33; Exo. 23:25-26.

  • Make God your only source of expectation.

The reason why some believers don’t see God at work in their situation, which results in the breakdown they suffer is because they have other sources of help Psa. 16:4. These might not be ‘juju’, occult; rather it might be a man or money that they have their trust in. When God is the only source of one’s life, every challenge will be cleared off by Him Mat. 6:22.

  • Keep declaring your expectation.

The law of the spirit that controls life on the earth is that one will have whatever one says Num. 14:28; Pro. 18:21; Mk. 11:23. Many believers’ problem is traceable to this law, they are either not saying anything or saying the wrong things, while they expect right thing to happen and it won’t Psa. 39:1-2. Don’t only say it once and keep quiet; rather keep saying it until you see it become a physical reality Gen. 1:3-31.

  • Beware of pride.

Pride is an enemy of destiny; it will destroy and rob the believer of every good thing of life Pro. 11:2; 16:18; 29:23. Many are suffering in their marital life today because of pride. Pride is the estimation of self above who one really making the individual to lose character, which is the foundation of life particularly marriage.

  • Be saved and remain fully with God.

This is the starting point of it all; departure from the life of sin by repentance and acceptance Christ into one’s life to empower over sin Psa. 11:3; Mat. 11:28-29; Jn. 10:10.

In conclusion, God can only show man the way to life, he can’t force man to follow the way He shows. Every man has the responsibility of choice, and the choice of each one will determine his outcome in life Due. 30:19. The choice for Christ is one that guarantees a lifetime change of story for everyone that truly makes it.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer:

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, everything working against my glorious marital destiny is crushed now Isa. 10:27.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, by the Spirit of God I receive the restoration of color, beauty, glory and new wine into my marriage Joel 2:25,28.
