Curses are real; they are unseen forces that work the ruin of destiny they are attached Gen. 4:9-13. In essence, no matter the individual does and no the help he receives, as long as the curse is at work, everything will end at nothing. Curses are generational in nature, they will normally pass from parents to children with a lifespan of 3-4 generations, which is 300-400 years Gen. 15:13-14; Exo. 20:3-5. The good news is that curses can be reverted, terminated and broken Col. 2:14. And the cure to curses is to come under the blessing of God Num. 23:8,20; Gen. 49:3-4; Deu. 33:6.

Evidences of Generational Curse.

  1. Recurring negative occurrence.
  2. Plagues of long continuance Deu. 28:15,59.
  3. Negative pattern common in the family.

Channels of coming under God’s Blessing.

  1. Be born again and remain so.

At salvation, the believer is connected to the blessing of God, the same that came upon Abraham and made him in life Gal. 3:13-14; Psa. 5:12. In essence, by the decision to become born again, every curse including generational is not permitted to the believer’s life again Num. 23:23.

Serving God guarantee the release of God’s blessing on the believer Exo. 23:25. When one is blessed; curses have no right on one’s life again.

  • Obedience to God’s word.

The choice to obey every instruction of God contained in His word is the choice to blessing Deu. 30:19; Jms. 1:22-25. Therefore, when a believer commits to live by God’s word, he comes under God’s blessing and envy come is broken of his life.

  • The covenant of tithing.

Paying tithe prompt and regular invoke God’s blessing on the blessing Mal. 3:10-12. This is why a genuine tither will always be prosperous, because of God’s blessing.

  • Connect to parental blessing.

Biological parents are strong channel of God’s blessing in life Gen. 27:1-4,27-29,33. We connect to God’s blessing through parents when we honor and obey them; to honor means to take care of them with our means Eph. 6:1-3.

  • Be faithful.

To be faithful means one is not double-faced, dual personality, but true to God both inside and before men. The faithful will abound with God’s blessing, thereby forbidding curses in his life Pro. 28:20.

  • Connect to priestly blessing.

God ordained His priests as His channel of communicating His blessing on His children Num. 6:22-27. We invoke the release of these blessings from the priest set over one’s life as we: receive and believe the person and ministry of the priest Mat. 10:41; 2Chr. 20:20; obey his instruction Heb. 13:17; and honor him 2Kgs. 4:8-13.

In conclusion, God’s blessing does not only terminate curses, it also makes the believer become one that cannot be cursed again Gen. 12:3. As you come under God’s blessing today, it marks the end of curses in your life forever.

Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for
