Marital siege is anything that makes an individual’s marital destiny not to be fulfilled. This could be anything among the following:

1. Delay in marital settlement.

This could be because no one is interested in marriage with the person, every relationship towards marriage always breaking down, lack of resources to make the decision for wedding and final settlement etc.

1. Marital unrest.

This include things like incessant quarrels or fight between couples, physical abuse of all kinds, infidelity in marriage, or not just experiencing joy and harmony at home.

1. Threat of separation or divorce.
2. Generational trend of marital breakdown that is finding expression in the believer’s marriage.

This is when there is the record track of marital breakdown in the family the believer comes from. For instance, ladies don’t marry until they are in their 40s, men don’t keep one wife etc.

The good news is that, by redemption the believer is ordained for a glorious marital destiny Gen. 2:18; Psa. 34:10.

How to Actualize our Glorious Marital Destiny.

1. Be born again and be genuine at it.

At salvation, every man is translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear son Col. 1:13-14. In the kingdom of darkness, the experience is woes in all areas of life Mat. 25:30. But in the kingdom of His dear son, the experience is life of abundance and fulfilment Jn. 10:10. Therefore, when this translation takes place, the believer undergoes dramatic change of every negative experience to positive.

• Remain in love with God.

The love of God at work in the believer invokes the manifestation of God in his life Jn. 14:21. When God manifests in a life, all the works of the wicked, which include marital breakdown, are destroyed 1Jn. 3:8. Love for God is shown by untiring pursuit after the advancement of God’s kingdom and church growth Jn. 21:15-17.

• Remain committed to kingdom stewardship.

Kingdom stewardship, which essentially is winning the lost into the kingdom, has many benefits, all of which has impact on marital breakthrough. For instance, kingdom stewardship makes wise, and every marital crisis has its answer in wisdom Pro. 11:30; Mat. 7:24-27. Also, kingdom stewardship secures divine presence, which turns every breakdown in life including marital, to breakthrough. In essence, a commitment to kingdom stewardship guarantees marital breakthrough for any believer.

• Engage the power of faith.

Faith is obedience to God and whatever He says per time, which commits God to deliver His promise. Faith will always move God to work, and the end result is desired testimony Heb. 11:6. Therefore, in the face of a marital challenge or crisis, the way out is to search out the instruction of God concerning such situation. When this is followed, God is committed to turn the marital challenge to a testimony. For instance, the bible says ‘husband love you wife as Christ loves the church, and wife submit to your husband as unto the Lord’ Eph. 5:21-27.

• Make God your only source of expectation.

When God is the only source the believer has, on whom he focuses all his expectations, that believer is guaranteed  not to be disappointed Psa. 34:5; Rms. 8:32. The reason behind the failure in marital life of believers is they often have alternatives that make their heart not to be absolutely on God I this area of their life. When a believer becomes like Esther; ‘If God will not do it, I will rather die and never have it”, he has committed God to the success of his marital life Psa. 62:5; Jms. 1:6-7.

• Beware of pride.

At the root of many marital breakdowns is pride Pro. 11:2; 16:18. Pride is over-estimation of self that makes the individual act wrong, thereby incurring the wrath of God and destruction. Example of pride in marital life; a man because of his financial background and affluence talks rude t ladies in relationship or does not know how to accept wrong and apologize, or a lady does not see any man fit to say yes to because of her good look or education level etc. Pride destroys glorious destiny, but there is answer, and that is repentance 1Jn. 1:8-9.

In conclusion, everyone that has accepted Jesus has been made free in life Jn. 8:36. Therefore, nothing is permitted to succeed in standing against your glorious marital destiny. Therefore, every marital breakdown in any life here today is turning to supernatural breakthrough.
