The scriptures make us to understand that it is scriptural for a believer to be confronted with challenges 1Cor. 16:9; Pro. 24:16. But it is unscriptural for the believer to be overwhelmed or defeated by any challenge Isa. 43:1-4. Every affliction or challenge of long continuance is a manifestation of the curse of the law, which Christ has redeemed the believer from Gal. 3:13-14. Therefore, the believe is not permitted to be under a curse; in essence, affliction is not permitted to take its toll on the believer’s life Num. 23:20,23. Rather by redemption, the believer determines how long an unwanted issue will stay in his life.

Scriptural Acceptable Duration for Affliction in a Believer’s Life.

The scriptures gave how long a challenge is permitted to last in the life of a child of God.

  1. A moment 2Cor. 4:7.
  2. A while 1Pet. 5:10.
  3. An hour Rev. 18:2,17-19.
  4. Overnight or twelve hours Psa. 30:5.
  5. One day or twenty-four hours 2Cor. 6:2.
  6. Three days Hos. 6:2.

When any affliction is beyond any of this scriptural acceptable period, with three days as the maximum, it has expired and has no right to remain. Many in church suffer challenges of long years due to their ignorance Hos. 4:6; Isa 5:13. Ignorance of their right to liberty, particularly their responsibility to terminate the affliction Psa. 82:5-7.

Covenant Responsibilities to Terminate Unwanted Issues.

  1. Stay in love with God.

The love of God in a believer makes his life to become full of God Eph. 3:17-19; 1Jn. 4:16. God’s presence guarantees the termination of all assaults of the wicked, thereby bringing an end to all unwanted issues Psa. 114:1-8; 1Cor. 2:9. The love of God is a choice, which the believer validates with appropriate action Mat. 6:24; 1Jn. 3:18.

  • Enter into a covenant to serve God as a way of life.

Serving God and the interest of His kingdom is a covenant that commits God to the believer’s rest roundabout 2Chr. 15:12,15; Job 36:11; Mat. 6:33. Serving God means engaging in what brings growth to the church and enlargement to God’s kingdom. Essentially these are, kingdom advancement prayer, soul winning, soul establishment, using ones resources to promote God’s kingdom.

  • Engage in violent cry of faith.

Faith is the scriptural force that moves God’s hand any time, any day Heb. 11:6; Mk. 2:5. Whenever God hears the believer cry in faith to Him, He steps into the situation the believer has cried for Mk. 9:46-52; Lk. 18:35-42; Psa. 56:9. Whenever God steps into a situation, every unwanted issues are terminated instantly Psa. 68:1-2.

  • Engage prophetic intervention.

Every true prophet of God is ordained as agent of liberation from every affliction of life Hos. 12:13; Exo. 3:9-10. By the wisdom of God, the physical presence of the prophet is not required, his mantle carries his anointing for same order of result 2Kgs. 2:13-15; Acts 19:11-12.

  • One must be born again.

This is the first and most important demand for terminating unwanted issues in life. Until an individual becomes a child of light, the forces of darkness will have power over his life 1Jn. 1:1-5; 5:4; Eph. 5:5; Jn. 1:5. Salvation through Christ is the only way to cross over from darkness into the light of God, which empowers an individual to control the forces of darkness Col. 1:13-14.

In conclusion, surely there is an end to everything that has a beginning Pro. 23:18. Today is the end of that affliction your have suffered hitherto.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for the victory over the challenges of life I have in Christ 2Cor. 2:14.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace for the covenant responsibilities for my liberty from affliction of long continuance from today Zch. 4:7.
  3. Father in the name of Jesus, the challenge of concern in my end now Jer. 1:10.
