We are in the days of prophetic fulfilment, the things that God has spoken of concerning the last days are being fulfilled before in our days 1Tim. 4:1; Isa. 2:2-3. One vital among the prophecy is that of terrible hardship; the world today is facing the worst economic crisis in history, and from the prophetic indications it is just the beginning Joel 2:1-2; Matt. 24:7-8. The good news is that there is the way out; God has not only provided the way of escape for His children, but also to flourish in the midst of the hardship Psa. 33:18-19; 37:18-19. This way of escape is the covenant, it has always exempted God’s people from the horror of hard times Gen. 47:15-19,27; Mal. 3:10-11.17-18; 4:1-2. But a sound understanding of the covenant is vital, to enable the believer walk perfectly in the covenant and produce expected result Gen. 17:1.

The Purpose of the Covenant of Financial Fortune.

When a believer lacks the understanding of the purpose of wealth in the kingdom, he becomes disqualified from experiencing it Pro. 29:18. Primarily, the purpose of financial fortune is for the promotion of the kingdom Hag. 1:5-12; 2:3-9. In essence, serving God and the interest of His kingdom must become the first in the finance of the believer. The more the believer does this, the more he is walking in the covenant for financial fortune, and the more the covenant will be producing result in his life. Every covenant has its terms that must be obeyed for the covenant to find expression.

The Terms of the Covenant of Financial Fortune.

These are the vital keys to a world of financial fortune. In essence, everyone that desires to escape the horror of hardship that is taking over the world in our time, and flourish in the midst of it, must make these covenant keys a lifestyle.

  1. Be spiritually minded Rms. 8:6; 3Jn. 2.

Spiritual minded refers to a mind that is occupied and filled with the things of God only; thinking God and the things that interest His kingdom. This is a prosperous soul. The believer’s prosperity is determined by how much the soul is prospering; it takes a fat soul to be ‘fat’ in life. The state of the soul is determined by the kind and level of information fed into it. So feed your mind with God’s word, make it to be filled with it at all times, and your mind will naturally be occupied with the things of God, which will result in your hand becoming supernaturally prosperous.

  • Be productively engaged in life Psa. 1:3; Pro. 10:4; 13:4; 22:29.

The covenant forbids idleness, laziness and the likes. For every one who desires prosperity and financial fortune, make sure you have a legitimate work you are doing, and give all of yourself to the pursuit of excellence. The blessing of God that makes rich is delivered through the work of the hand only Pro. 10:22; Psa. 1:3. In essence, when a believer is not doing anything, there is no way he can receive God’s blessing, and without the blessing he is a victim of hardship. No matter how small or demeaning, do something legitimate!

  • Engage tirelessly in covenant practice Deut. 8:18; 2Cor. 9:6-8; Phil. 4:15-19.

Covenant practice here connote a commitment to serve God and the interest of His kingdom with our resources. This is by giving towards kingdom matters, and being tireless at it until prosperity becomes evident in one’s life. Various ways we do this are; tithe, worship offering, kingdom promotion giving and sacrifice, giving to parents, giving to prophets.

  • Walk in financial integrity Zch. 5:1-4; Jer. 17:11; Job 22:21-25.

Financial fortune is entrusted only to those God can trust, and financial integrity is a vital requirement to earn God’s trust Lk. 16:10-11. Financial integrity is the quality of honesty in financial dealings; which makes a believer not to touch whatever is not his under any disguise. Whatever one steals is a fraction of what God has made prepared for the individual, which is now denied the believer by his act of stealing. Therefore, walk in integrity in all areas of your life to walk in prosperity.

  • Be committed to being a blessing to the world around you Psa. 112:1-3,9-10; Pro. 11:24-25; Job 29:4-18.

In the covenant, God blesses His children for them to become a blessing to their world Gen. 12:2-3. Take interest in being a blessing to others; where you work, your community, the nation. This was a major secret of the life of Job in the bible, which made him to emerge as the greatest man in his days Job 1:1-3. The reason many believers are experiencing financial hardship is because they are only interested in what to get or grab, when God has prepared amazing things waiting to be delivered as they pursue after being a blessing to others.

  • Keep rejoicing to secure your returns Deut. 28:47-48; Joel 1:11-12; Hab. 3:17-19.

Joy and rejoicing is the covenant sickle with which we take delivery of our harvest in God’s kingdom Joel 3:13. All other covenant practices are investments that qualify the believer for the harvest of fortune, but it will take joy to have the harvest delivered. This is why the devil targets the joy in the heart of the believer, with the aim to rob him of the harvest of financial fortune that has accrued to his account. Therefore, don’t allow anything steal your joy. Even when you are not seeing the prosperity as you desire, be excited and joyful as you keep obeying the terms for financial fortune, it will soon explode in your testimony Hab. 2:3.

Fringe Benefits of Covenant Practice.

  1. It engenders peace 2Chr. 15:12,15,19.

Covenant practise guarantees peace; it is able to silence every noise to establish calmness and tranquillity supernaturally in the life of the believer. Remember, peace is a vital requirement to enjoy divine intervention.

  • It invokes divine favour Psa. 35:37; Psa. 102:13-15.

Favour means preferential treatment that makes an individual to experience what is beyond is qualification. Favour makes the believer to deliver result beyond his natural ability and capacity. Favour is what makes a believer to command wealth beyond his labour; one sweat small but returns with great financial output.

  • Engenders divine health Psa. 41:1-3; Jn. 15:2; Job 33:24.

When the believer gives, it has a way of becoming the ransom that delivers rom the forces of sickness and disease in life. This is the reason why true givers enjoy health, strength and vitality; particularly those that give the covenant way. Non givers are always depressed with leads to oppression of every kind, including sicknesses and diseases.

In conclusion, prosperity is a choice; but it is a choice that places certain responsibilities on the believer. It is refusal to accept these responsibilities that results into poverty in the lives of God’s children. Your day of financial struggle is over!

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

Father, by the Holy Spirit, strengthen me in my inner man with might for covenant practice, thereby establish me in financial liberty Eph. 3:16.
