Redemption is man’s escape from the life of woes, toiling and hardship into the life of abundance Jn. 10:10. What makes the abundance to become a reality is word encounter and practice Jos. 1:8; Psa. 1:2-3. Every time we put God’s word to practise, we have stepped into a covenant with God, and we are guaranteed the delivery of the promise of God Deu. 28:1-2.

How Powerful or Reliable is a Covenant?

1. God’s covenant is eternally binding on all issues as His covenant of the day and of the night.

In essence, when a God’s covenant is activated by the believer, everything in life will begin to answer to him Psa. 74:20. It is only what can break the power that controls the continuous exchange of the day and night that has the power to resist a believer operating by God’s covenant Jer. 33:20-21.

• The covenant of wealth is God’s bailout agenda form harsh economic situation.

In essence, when the believer steps into God’s covenant, he becomes secured against famine in life Psa. 33:18-19; Gen. 26:1-4,12-14; 8:22.

Terms of the Covenant of Financial Fortune.

Remember, every covenant has responsibility for the believer, which commits God to his prosperity when obeyed. The believer’s responsibility for the covenant of wealth is sowing of his seed, popularly referred to as giving Gen. 8:22; Lk. 6:38. This is what Job, the wealthiest man in his days referred to as ‘the law’ that must be received for one to prosper Job 22:21-25. These are conditions that make giving to produce abundance; they are the terms of the covenant of wealth.

1. Giving willingly.

It is only what e give willing that produces harvest and abundance 2Cor. 8:12; Exo. 35:4,16,22. Whatever is given under duress or coercion does not produce harvest, but a waste.

• Give cheerfully.

Excitement and joy is vital to make our seed produce harvest Joel 1:11-12. In essence, we must give with a heart of joy to have returns from our seed sowing, which will result in prosperity 2Cor. 9:7.

• Give tirelessly.

The covenant only works when the believer is tirelessly committed to the practice of it Gal. 6:9. In essence, our giving will produce abundance when we won’t be tired of doing it Ecc. 11:1-3.

• Sow into a good ground.

It is only seeds that fall on good ground that will produce harvest; those that fall on bad or wrong ground are lost forever Mat. 13:23. Sowing into good ground demands that we give according to the covenant channels and where the Spirit of God will instruct us at certain times Deu. 12:13-14.

• Water your seed with thanksgiving.

Every seed that will produce harvest requires adequate water 1Cor. 3:6. Thanksgiving is the spiritual water for our seed, to make it deliver harvest abundance Pro. 12:14; Heb. 13:15.

Enemies of Financial Fortune.

These are the little foxes that won’t allow our seed to develop and deliver harvest. We must avoid and get rid of them.

1. Lack of financial integrity.

Financial crookedness and unfaithfulness is a disqualifier from supernatural wealth Jer. 17:10-11; Lk. 16:11-12. For our giving to produce harvest, we must walk in financial integrity!

1. Slothfulness.

Another word for slothfulness is laziness, it makes victim to lack and become poor Pro. 20:4; 6:6-10. One vital demand for prosperity is hard work Psa. 1:3.

1. Wastefulness.

The attitude of waste disconnect from God’s blessing, thereby making a waster to suffer lack and poverty Lk. 15:13-15. Waste can manifest in diverse ways, some of which are; spending it all attitude Lk. 15:14; impulsive spending, buying on credit and debt, not operating financial plan or budget, never having enough.

1. Covetousness.

It is strong wish to have something, especially something that belongs to someone else. Another word for it is greed. Covetousness sets the victim for a fall and destruction 1Tim. 6:6-9; Jos. 7:19-26. The solution is contentment, which is a product of the understanding that one’s life is not determined by the substance one has Lk. 12:15.

• Nonchalant attitude to kingdom advancement opportunities.

Remember, the primary reason for God blessing the believer is to build His kingdom Zch. 1:17-20. In essence, the more we commit to promoting God’s kingdom with our resources, the more we move God to bless us Hag. 1:5-14.

Fringe Benefits of Covenant Practice.

The blessing that answer to the practice of the covenant is more than financial returns. There are other returns that money cannot buy that covenant practice delivers to the believer.

1. Secures divine health.

Health cannot be bought with money, but covenant practice guarantees it Psa. 41:1-3; Jn. 15:2.

1. Averts curses and plagues.

Our giving is a spiritual hammer that crushes curses, plagues and spells Gen. 8:20-22; 2Sam. 24:24-25.

1. Guarantees divine protection.

Giving moves God to defend the believer from all assaults of the enemy Psa. 20:1-3; Job 22:25.

1. Engenders longevity.

Our seed is a ransom; it has the power to ransom our soul from death Job 33:24. The believer who walk in the covenant is not permitted to die premature Gen. 25:8; Gal. 3:13-14,29.

• Stimulates joy unspeakable.

Covenant practice imparts with glorious hope, which results into inexplicable joy in the believer 2Cor. 8:1-2; 2Chr. 15:12-15. Remember, joy is the fertilizer for a great destiny Hab. 3:17-19.

In conclusion, anyone can change his story from lack and financial struggle to supernatural wealth. Many have done this, you shall be the next!

Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. 1. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for tireless practice of the covenant of wealth Zch. 4:6.
2. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the giving grace on my life thereby making giving my lifestyle from today Jn. 10:17-18.
3. Father in the name of Jesus, the yoke of poverty, lack, struggle in finance is destroyed in my life right now, and I am free forever Mk. 11:23.
