God did not design the believer to struggle through life, but for unhindered progress until he steps into glory Pro. 4:18. Why the struggles? It is because many are doing guess work in life, because they are in the dark about God’s agenda for their lives Jn. 11:9-10; 12:35. God’s way is that He unveils His plan and purpose to a people or person, which we call prophecy Isa. 42:9; 46:10. This is to prevent the believer from going through life guessing and stumbling, rather make steady progress because He is walking in the light. Remember, there are three ways of prophecy; the bible 2Pet. 1:19-21; personal encounters with God Exo. 3:7-10; and through God sent prophets Lk. 4:25-27.
How Powerful are Prophecies?
Power is the ability to do work or make a thing happen. Our God is the omnipotent, which means He has the ability to do whatever He chooses Rev. 19:6. In essence, whatever God says is what He has the power to make happen, no matter how impossible it is with men Mk. 10:27; Jer. 32:17,27.
Wisdom is the ability to know the right thing to do, and capacity to do it to get a desired result. When God speaks, He knows what to do and He is committed to do it to get what He has spoken delivered Jn. 6:6; Isa. 55:8; Pro. 3:19; Psa. 104:24.
From scriptures, we understand and have established that it takes faith to see prophecies fulfilled Lk. 1:45; Mat. 9:29.
How Does Faith Facilitate Fulfilment of Prophecies?
There is always the test the believer will be subjected to and must pass before what God promised will be delivered Gen. 22:1-3,12,16-18. Faith is the test to pass, or faith will empower the believer to pass the test, thereby positioning him for the prophecy to come to fulfilment Num. 13:26-33; 14:1-10,21-24.
In God’s kingdom, only what the believer treasures is what he is empowered to possess Mat. 13:44-46. Faith enables the believer to keep seeing prophecy as a treasure, thereby the believer is empowered to pay whatever price it takes to take delivery of it 2Pet. 1:19-21; Rms. 4:18-12.
A man’s thoughts are fundamental to the outcome of his life Pro. 23:7; 4:20-22. When faith comes alive, the thoughts of the believer are filled with faith, which entitled him to take delivery of the prophecy in reality Mk. 11:23.
Our action is vital in determining the ultimate outcome of our life 1Sam. 2:3. Faith empowers the believer for the right actions that will result in the fulfilment of prophecy in his life Jms. 2:18; 1Sam. 1:14-15.
Rest means the state of no anxiety or doubt, as one keeps doing what it takes for the delivery of one’s desire. Rest is a must for one’s desire to become delivered Heb. 10:22-23,36; 2Chr. 20:17; Exo. 14:13. Faith will put the believer at rest to enforce prophecy delivery Heb. 4:3.
In conclusion, what each of us need is to accept the responsibility to build our faith this year. And keep our faith alive until every word of God for this year becomes our experience in reality. This shall be your long awaited dream year!
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for
