We belong to a kingdom of blessing and great profits Acts 3:26; Gal. 3:13-14. Scriptures make us to understand that the blessing is man’s guarantee to enjoy the abundant life Pro. 10:22. The believer’s access to blessing and profit is the empowerment of the Holy Spirit 1Cor. 12:4-7. But the understanding of how the Holy Spirit empowers is vital to experience His empowerment.

Understanding How the Holy Spirit Empowers the Believer.

The Holy Spirit empowers the believer through His various channels of operation. What are these channels of operation of the Holy Spirit?

1. The Spirit of Dedication Jn. 10:17-18; 12:23-26.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of dedication empowers the believer to become dead to self and alive unto God. This makes the believer to be sold-out and addicted to God and the course of His kingdom. Kingdom advancement engagement becomes a lifestyle with delight when a believer is so empowered with the Spirit of dedication. The effect of this empowerment is exploits and distinction Mk. 4:30-33.

• The Spirit of revelation Eph. 1:17-18; Psa. 105:17-22.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of revelation empowers the believer’s access into God’s word. In essence, God’s word open up and the believer gains access to the secret behind the story of the bible. The effect of this empowerment is unquestionable obedience, which leads to unstoppable possession of one’s possession Gen. 13:14-15; Jer. 1:11-12.

• The Spirit of boldness Acts 4:13, 29-33; 14:3.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of boldness empowers the believer to be daring in his walk with God. This empowerment makes the believer to dare to take steps of obedience on every instruction from God. The effect of this is that the believer begins to walk in dominion and blessing, which will result in outstanding greatness Psa. 81:10-14; Gen. 22:16-18.

• The Spirit of joy Isa. 61:3; Psa. 45:6-8.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of joy empowers the believer to always count God as faithful irrespective of the situation. This makes the believer to keep obeying God even when there is no proof, until he enters into his reward. The effect of this empowerment is a fruitful and rewarding service, which turns the believer to the envy of his world.

Requirements for the Empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

1. Be desperate for the empowerment Isa. 44:3-4; Jn. 7:37-39.

The degree of thirst in the believer for empowerment is what will determine his readiness for the empowerment. It is when a believer is considered as ready for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit that God does releases the power on him.

1. Demand in prayer Lk. 11:9-13; Acts 4:30-33.

Every believer that desires the empowerment of the Holy Spirit must ask for it, and he must be specific in his demand. Scriptures make it clear that the altar of prayer is the platform for receiving the empowerment of the Holy Spirit; the more a believer engages, the more is his access to empowerment.

1. Commitment to kingdom advancement engagement Lk. 9:1-6; 10:1-2.

God only empower believers who are committed to service. The more a believer commits to the advancement of God’s kingdom, the more is his access to empowerment.

In conclusion, when a believer is truly empowered, every force of life bows to him Rms. 13:1-2. The empowerment of believers is a function of our individual choice. I see you making the right choice that will make you to operate in power from today. It is your season, and your life is taking a glorious turn from now.

Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

1. Father in the name of Jesus, pour the Holy Spirit afresh on me right now and cause me to walk in new realm of power from today Acts 1:8.
2. Father in the name of Jesus, empower me with the Spirit of dedication, the Spirit of revelation, the Spirit of boldness, and the Spirit of joy right now 1Cor. 12:31.
