ENGAGING THE MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH PT. 2.

By redemption the believer has been initiated into the world o realm of power Jn. 1:12. The believer thereafter is no longer a mere man but is designed now to manifest power, which makes him capable of doing the works Jesus did and greater ones Jn. 14:12. This manifestation of power is vital to the supernatural victory and unstoppable life the believer is ordained to enjoy Psa. 66:3; Pro. 4:18.

Why is the Church of Christ Powerless today?

Despite the great provisions the believer has, why do we still have many so powerless today? One major reason is because we are yet to discover our covenant access to empowerment, and we lack the understanding of how to trigger the power into manifestation Psa. 82:1-2,5-7; Isa. 5:13; Hos. 4:6.

Our Access to Empowerment.

The Holy Spirit is the believer’s access to empowerment Acts 1:8; Mic. 3:8. This empowerment begins at baptism with the Holy Spirit, which has the evidence of speaking in a new language one never knew nor learnt before Acts 2:4. But the Holy Spirit empowers the believer through His diverse channels of operation 1Cor. 12:4-7. What are some of these channels of the operation of the Holy Spirit?

  1. The Spirit of faith 2Cor. 4:13; Jud. 3; Heb. 11:32-33.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of faith enables the believer to believe anything that God says. Remember, faith makes a believer to do whatever the word of God says thereby command supernatural result Jn. 6:28-29. When a believer is lacks the ability to do what God’s word instructs and is not experiencing desires result, he needs empowerment with the Spirit of faith.

  • The Spirit of servant-hood Isa. 42:1-4; Php. 2:5-9.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of servant-hood empowers the believer to serve both God’s kingdom and humanity with commitment and tirelessly. Service is the believer’s pathway to greatness and the life of supernatural prosperity Lk. 22:25-27; Job 36:11.

  • The Spirit of might Eph. 3:16; Isa. 11:1-2.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of might empower the believer in his inner man to manifest unusual strength of heart. By this the believer is able to apply himself to the discipline, hardness and pressure that obedience to God’s instruction demand in order to bring the word into fulfilment and manifestation 1Cor. 9:25-27.

  • The Spirit of judgment Isa. 4:4-6; Jn. 16:7-11; Acts 13:8-13.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of judgment enables the believer to make right decisions and take appropriate stand against sin and all satanic works. By this the believer is able to invoke divine judgment on the Satan; thereby destroying every of his works Isa. 63:4.

Qualification for Empowerment.

Empowerment by the Spirit of God is available to all men, but can only be access by those who will pay the price. What is the price for empowerment?

  1. Be born again Acts 2:38; Pro. 1:23.

Becoming born again is the first and non-negotiable price for empowerment. And this means to sincerely repent of sin, and turn away from it forever through the power of the risen Christ.

  • Be thirsty for empowerment Isa. 44:3-5; Jn. 7:37-39.

God does not force anything on any man; He gives to each only what He is desperate for.

  • Ask in prayer Lk 11:9-13; Matt. 7:7-8.

Every believer is only a prayer distance away from his next level of empowerment; if one can passionately place the demand in prayer, God is too excited to release the power.

  • Commit to serve God and the advancement of His kingdom Lk. 9:1-6; 10:1-2,17-19.

Believers are only empowered to serve, not to sit and be entertained. In essence, only those who are on the go for the kingdom will enjoy empowerment.

In conclusion, there is no power in any other source than God, get after God for the true power Psa. 62:11; Matt. 28:18; Rms. 13:1. Power is all that an individual need for a change of story and each one is the sole determinant of his empowerment. We determine it by paying the price for empowerment.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit, thereby empower me for a fruitful Christian life henceforth Acts 1:8.
