YOU CANNOT HAVE A HEART FOR GOD AND NOT HAVE TIME FOR HIM PT. 5.

Memory verse:

“My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.”

  • Pro. 23:26.

The scriptures make us to understand that God created time to enable man make the most of life here on the terrestrial part of existence Gen. 1:1:17-18; Eccl. 3:1-11. In essence, time becomes a fundamental factor to life on the earth and what becomes of individuals Eccl. 9:11. The devil knowing this focuses his warfare against time in the life of every man, and his target is to have charge over man’s time. He wages this war using his agents, known as time-robbers Eph. 5:15-16; Col. 4:4-5. You will win the battle over your time from today! It takes wisdom to win the battles of life; hence, every believer needs God’s wisdom for winning the battle over his time Eccl. 9:14-16,18; Psa. 90:12. This wisdom is simply to give God the priority in our time, and charge over our schedule Mat. 6:33.

Scriptural Examples of Giants who were product of wise usage of time.

  1. The example of Daniel.

Daniel was one of the young men of Israel taken as captive by king Nebuchadnezzar into Babylon Dan. 1:3-6. Daniel was a young man with a heart for God; he was the only one that made the decision not to get involved in the system of Babylon that is against the laws of God; which at the core involves time usage Dan. 1:8. Daniel by his life influenced at least three of his colleagues (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) to make the decision of not getting defiled with the Babylon system, by sticking to the laws of the God of Abraham Dan. 1:17-20. Daniel will not accept whatever circumstance, rather would engage his time in prayer to make things happen in the way it will bring glory to God Dan. 2:12-21. Daniel would engage in prayer three times in a day, when it is at risk to his life Dan. 6:1-5. By this lifestyle, Daniel had the testimony of being relevant in the land of Babylon for four consecutive kings, of two different kingdoms Dan. 1:21; 2:48; 6:3.

With a heart for God Daniel reigned in a foreign land of captivity. In essence, a heart for God makes a man to make the most of his life. If a heart for God is evidenced by time for Him, it means one cannot have time for God and not make great mark on the earth Psa. 75:6-7.
