YOU CANNOT HAVE A HEART FOR GOD AND NOT HAVE TIME FOR HIM PT. 1.

Memory verse:

“My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.”

  • Pro. 23:26.

From scriptures, we understand that one thing the devil is after in a man’s life is his time, not his health or money really. This is because whatever has charge or control of time has control of the entire life Psa. 90:12. In essence, there is an on-going battle from the pit of hell over our time that the believer must win Eph. 5:16; Col. 4:5. The truth is that time is the principal resources, and equally given to all men. Every man has 24 hours per day; how this is put to use is what determine the outcome of each man on the earth 1Cor. 6:12. Every man that desires to rise to greatness must bring His time under God’s control. This is the secret of every giant that rose both in the bible and contemporary life. Therefore, don’t blame anyone for the outcome of your life; it is your usage of time that has made you into who you are today. If there will be a change, we must change the way we use our time.

Scriptural Examples of Giants who were product of godly use of time.

  1. Abraham.

The scriptures have it that Abraham was a failure at 75, when God met with him and gave him the promise to make him great. Gen. 12:1-3. Suddenly, we observed from scriptures the rise of Abraham from a ‘nobody’ into a ‘business emperor’ of his days, and a trans-generational blessing today Gen. 13:2; 24:1; Gal. 3:13-14. One salient secret that is not popularly referred to for Abraham’s rise was that his time was absolutely for God’s use. Abraham would suspend his schedule to obey any instruction from the Lord Gen. 17:9-23; 22:1-18. And God will often say to Abraham in response, ‘now I know that you fear me’ Gen. 22:12; 18:19. Abraham by the use of his time for God proved to God that he has a heart for God. The effect was the supernatural rise of Abraham to a blessing to all the earth today.

In essence, we cannot claim to have a heart for God without having time for Him and the things of His kingdom. And one cannot to have a heart for God without making great marks on the earth Mat. 6:32-33; Gen. 14:14-17.
