WHY MUST WE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR CHURCH GROWTH PT. 4.

Memory verse:

“Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the

house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men

like a flock.” – Ezk. 36:37.

Church growth is nothing other than the salvation of the lost, their establishment in the faith, and the church where they would be nurtured to maturity in God Lk. 14:21-23; Matt. 18:11-14. In all, the kingdom of God on the earth is all about God establishing His reign and ruler-ship on the earth through men who have made the choice to allow His sovereignty in their lives. Therefore, every believer that is committed to church growth is a man after God’s heart 1Chr. 13:14. But, it is not enough to make the right choice, we must understand how to deliver on our right choice in reality, else it becomes a frustration Eccl. 10:15.

Scriptures makes us to understand that prayer is vital and core to deliver church growth Psa. 2:8; Isa. 16:7-8; Ezk. 36:37. The prayer must be intensive, consistent and continuous for it to effectively deliver church growth Lk. 18:1,7-8. Our focus this week has been on showing why prayers have to be continuous for it to produce church growth.

What makes Continuous Prayer vital for Continuous Church Growth?

  1. For the continuous flow of signs and wonders in the church Act 4:30-33.

Signs and wonders are the sickles of harvest of multitudes into the kingdom Jn. 4:48. We saw in the early church how signs and wonders played a major role in the massive salvation and ingathering of multitudes to the church Act 4:4; 5:12-14; 9:34-35. From scriptures, prayer is a basic spiritual rod for stirring the supernatural for the manifestation of signs and wonders Jms. 5:16-18. As long as we keep praying, we are sure to keep seeing the supernatural in the manifestation with the ingathering of increasing multitudes.

The good news is that no one labors for God in vain Pro. 14:23. We must expect our reward from God, because God will grant only the expectations of the believer Pro. 23:18; 2Tim. 2:6. Remember, God’s reward turns believers into the envy of their world. Pro. 10:22. I see you entering into your season of reward, as you commit to this project of ‘prayer labor’ for church growth.
