WHY MUST WE BE COMMITTED TO THE INGATHERING OF SOULS INTO CHURCH? PT. 6.

Memory verse:

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

  • Jn. 15:16.

The scriptures make us to understand that until the individuals who responded to Christ in our outreaches or altars are effectively brought into the church and abide, they are yet to be counted as additions to God’s kingdom Jn. 15:16; Acts 2:41,47. Leaving the converts to drift or wander by themselves on the field is unsafe for them, and it is to the loss of the believer who labored. When the harvest is left on the field, it is exposed not only to the birds of the air, the pests in the field, but also the harsh weather conditions. The end result is that the harvest is at the risk of being lost, which means all the labor invested is wasted. Therefore, the believer must see the establishment of converts in the church as a task to be accomplished. And when there is a will, there will always be a way.

In concluding on this subject for the week, today we shall again take a look into scriptures to identify the significance of making new converts to abide in the church. Be blessed in Jesus name.

The Importance of getting new converts to become established in the church.

  1. To avoid wasted labor 1Ths. 3:5.

Scriptures make us to understand that an individual is only counted as an addition to the kingdom when he becomes born again and established in the church. Without his, the efforts made by the believer are wasted.

  • To have our rewards fully delivered Jn. 15:!6; 4:35-36

The believer is only entitled to the rewards of the kingdom when his fruits abide, and that is when the converts are established in the church. In essence, until our converts become committed church members our rewards are not in view.

  • It makes a star of the believer Dan. 12:3; Pro. 11:30.

From scriptures, we understand that the tireless commitment to ingathering of souls and their establishment in the church turns any believer to a star in life. New birth positions the believer as a star, but ingathering of souls to church actualizes his stardom.

In conclusion, we must engage the wisdom of God in the ingathering exercise thereby taking over our harvest field for Christ. And we shall see ourselves emerge as stars in life. I can see a new dawn on the life of everyone that is responding to this demand this month.
