Memory verse:

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

  • Jn. 15:16.

The scriptures make us to understand that all of God’s interest on the earth is man, who He made as a duplicate of Him, to reign as king Gen. 1:26-28; Psa. 8:4-6; Rev. 5:9-10. Through the fall of Adam, man lost this enviable status and position. But God has not relented in getting every man back to His original status for man on the earth Psa. 74:12; Rms. 8:32. In essence, getting man to be saved from sin is not the ultimate of God, rather it is the beginning. The ultimate of God is to have all men restored back to their royal status as king, and for them to reign on the earth 1Pet. 2:9. Now, we need to understand that God has appointed His house as the place for raising kings out of peasants Oba. 1:21.

Since the week began, we have been engaged in the study of scripture on the relevance of believers being committed to fellowship in church with brethren. Our emphasis has been on the new converts being gathered into the church, and helped to remain committed. I am trusting God that today’s teaching will impart fresh grace on you.

The Importance of getting new converts to become established in the church.

  1. For the realization of the inheritance of our new converts 2Pet. 1:3.

The church is the place where God places His teaching priests to impart knowledge to His children, which is a prerequisite to have our inheritance become a reality. The more committed the new convert is to church, the more the knowledge of God he will have, which will lead his access to more of his inheritance.

  • The church is the center for revelation that empowers believers to take delivery of their inheritance Matt. 11:28-29; Acts 20:32.

There forces of the spirit are at work in the church to make the believer gain access to the light in the word. One of such forces it the sprinkling of the blood Heb. 12:22-24. Scriptures that a believer have read at home suddenly comes alive with new light as it is read in church, thus delivering the blessing it contains.

  • God opens the eyes of understanding of the believer through the ministry of the teaching priests in church 2Chr. 15:3-5; Isa. 30:20-21.

We have the five-fold ministry operating in the church, and one of it is the Teacher, who is anointed to give clarity on scriptures to the believer. With the end result of helping the believer to see and lay hold on his right in Christ. But it takes getting to the church to enjoy this awesome provision.

  • The church is where the blessing of redemption are distributed Psa. 65:4; 132:13-15.

The church is God’s appointed depot for His blessing on the earth. In essence, everyone that desires the blessing of God must get to His depot for it, and that is the church. The more our new converts are committed to the church, the more they access their desired blessing in life.

There is no gain saying about this truth, the security of a new convert is in commitment to the church. We must therefore labor to see all our new converts become established with us in the church. Remember, it is them doing this that we qualify for the reward of our labor in the kingdom.
