WHY MUST WE BE COMMITTED TO THE INGATHERING OF SOULS INTO CHURCH? PT. 4.

WHY MUST WE BE COMMITTED TO THE INGATHERING OF SOULS INTO CHURCH? PT. 4.

Memory verse:

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

  • Jn. 15:16.

The whole essence of our walk with God as believers is to experience His blessing, which is the major factor for a rich and successful life Pro. 10:22. But there are requirements to access the blessing of God in our walk with God. Fundamental is the requirement of winning the lost to Christ, and to see them established in the faith by getting them established in the church Jn. 15:16. In essence, the blessing of God is available to all men, and ordained for all believers to enjoy, but only accessible to the fruitful believer whose fruits abide in the church. Therefore, we are not just called to bear fruits, we are also called to ensure that our fruits abide.

How do we make our fruit to abide? The first thing is to understand the importance and significance of having abiding fruit. When purpose is well understood, we become self-encouraged and zealous in its pursuit towards accomplishment. We have been studying the scripture to understand the importance of getting new converts established in the faith and the church.

The Importance of getting new converts to become established in the church.

  1. For spiritual growth and development of our new converts 2Pet. 2:2; Rms. 10:17.

The new converts need to grow to maturity in the faith in order to access the things that are available for them in the kingdom Gal. 4:1-3. The church is the spiritual center where God has positioned shepherds that feeds the flock, which results into growth from strength to strength Jer. 3:15-16; Psa. 84:7. Therefore, the more we make our new converts to be committed to the church, the more they experience spiritual growth unto maturity, and the more they will experience the blessings of God.

  • The church is the center for spiritual illumination that transforms the lives of believers Psa. 73:17; 2Cor. 3:18.

What we see defines what we experience in God’s kingdom Gen. 13:14-15; Jer. 1:11-12. Until the new convert’s eyes of understanding are enlightened or opened to see the things prepared for Him by God, He may never be able to enjoy them. And the church is God’s appointed place of opening of the eyes of believers to what He has made available for them in Christ. Therefore, the more committed a new convert is to church, the more his eyes opens and the more he gains access to the provisions of God for his life.

There is no way a new convert can make it, when left to remain outside the church. Everything about his life now that he is in Christ is dependent on his commitment to the church. It’s good we remind ourselves that it is when those new converts are established in church that the rewards for our labor will be delivered.

Jesus is Lord!

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace for tireless commitment to the ingathering of all my converts and contacts until they are turned into active disciples of Christ Jn. 17:12.

Action.

Engage the prayer altar, mentioning the names of each of your converts for God to make them abide in the faith, and keep drawing them to church services.

Priestly Blessings.

Your labor towards the establishment of every convert shall never be a waste!

As you labor over these souls for their establishment, your children shall never become a prey to the enemy!
