Memory verse:   

“And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”

From scriptures, we understand that there is the time for everything on the earth, and when a thing is done at the appointed time, life turns beautiful Eccl. 3:1,11. The midst of the year is a revival season; massive harvest of souls into the kingdom is a vital evidence of a season of revival as established in scriptures Hab. 3:2; Acts. 2:1-6,41,47; 4:4; 6:7. The believer that will make the most of the season must get committed to harvest of souls into the kingdom Pro. 10:5. But to leave our harvest on the field makes us to risk losing our harvest and every effort wasted Mat. 13:4. Therefore, there is the need of ingathering of the harvested souls into the ‘spiritual storehouse’, which is the church Mal. 3:10; Jn. 10:16.

What is the Significance of Ingathering of souls into the church?

1. For spiritual growth and development of our new converts.

At new birth, an individual is a newly born spiritual baby, with the need to grow Jn. 3:3-6; 1Pet. 2:2. The demand for growth requires that the convert be committed and established in the church, without which his growth will be stunted or none at all. The church is essential for spiritual growth for these reasons:

1. The church is the spiritual center where we grow from strength to strength Psa. 84:7; 110:1-3. The church is God’s appointed place where He fellowships with His children 1Jn. 1:6-7. As we do, His strength is imparted on the believer, the more the convert commits to church the more he increases in strength.
2. The church is where God ordained shepherds that feed the flock is located Jer. 3:15-16; Acts 20:28. As the shepherds feed, the flock experience growth in all areas of life. The convert left outside of fellowship will starve to death.

In essence, the glory of redemption is in having the convert gathered into the church to be fed adequately into maturity in the walking with God. We must labor therefore towards the ingathering of souls into the church this season.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive fresh grace for the ingathering of souls into the kingdom, thereby positioning me for the full delivery of the blessing of the season Zch. 4:7.
