Memory verse:   

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

• Jn. 15:16.

No man likes to labor in vain or have his effort become wasted. Every man who is laboring is doing so for the purpose of generating result, which is what will qualify him for the prize, profit or reward. In God’s kingdom, which is the most rewarding system in life, our reward is a function of our level of fruitfulness Jn. 15:1-2; Matt. 25:14-30. But our fruitfulness is defined by the number of individuals we have reconciled back to God and made to remain in relationship with God Jn. 15:16. For these individuals to remain in relationship with God, we must get them into the church and make them regular and committed to the church. Until we get it done like this, we are yet to be considered fruitful.

We have been studying scriptures to gain deeper understanding on the blessedness of striving to see our new converts established in the church and the faith. The blessing is both for the new convert and the soul winner. I believe God that your eyes shall open to see wonders from God’s word today.

The Importance of getting new converts to become established in the church.

1. For the preservation of our new converts Jn. 15:16.

Scriptures make us to understand that whatever God does is forever Eccl. 3:14. This means that the souls God saved through us are ordained to remain in the faith for life. But for them to be preserved in the faith and in God, we must get them to become committed to the church Eccl. 4:9-12.

• The church is the appointed spiritual home for every believer Eph. 2:19; Lk. 15:3-7.

From the story in scriptures popularly known as the ‘prodigal son’, we understand that the home is vital to the survival and well being of individuals. When the younger son left the home, he became a cheap victim of devastation. Therefore, for the well being of our new converts we must make them to become established in the church, which is where the bible recognizes as the home for all believers.

• The church is ordained for a covering for new converts against all assaults of the wicked 2Sam. 7:10; Psa. 91:1-5.

The wicked is never happy to see any man make a committed of his life to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This makes the individual to become the target of his assaults. But thanks to God for providing a ‘bunker’ for the saints where they are secured against satanic assaults. And this refers to the church, the more committed a believer is to the church; the more he is secured against all satanic assaults.

• The believer must be planted in the church to secure his glorious destiny Rms. 8:29-30; Psa. 92:12-15.

Scriptural understanding tells us that every one that has given his life to Christ now has a glorious destiny in life. But this will not be automatic. One vital demand to see it become a reality is by our commitment to the church. It is the place of empowerment to accomplish the great things that God has ordained for us in life.

The new life that a new convert received at salvation will never become a reality unless he is committed to the church. We must therefore go further in our kingdom advancement labor to see that this understanding is effective imparted into our new converts, thereby getting them to become committed to the church for their lives to be turned to the envy of their world in on time.

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace for tireless commitment to the ingathering of all my converts and contacts until they are turned into active disciples of Christ Jn. 17:12.

Action.

Get back to every of your converts and present what we have taught today to them; help them to make a commitment to regular attendance of church services from now.
