The scriptures male us to understand that everything and time has a purpose; applying ourselves to this averts failure and destruction Pro. 29:18. We are in the end-time, ordained for the supernatural advancement of the church of Christ Isa. 2:2-3; Mic. 4:1-3. Also, the mid-year is said to be a revival season in scriptures, and it is a time of supernatural church growth Acts 2:1-6,37-41. The church is the people, therefore her advancement is by increase in the number of the people who have made a commitment to Christ 1Cor. 3:9; Acts 2:47. To maximize the season therefore, the believer must be committed to salvation of souls and their establishment in the faith Jn. 15:16. The establishment of converts in the faith demands that they are established in the church.

What is the Significance of Ingathering of souls into the church?

1. For the preservation of the new converts.

Everything God created has the place ordained for the life in it to be preserved. The fish is designed for waters, the birds in the air, human on the ground etc. The new man is ordained to dwell in the church Jn. 10:28-29; Psa. 84:7. The church is important in nurturing the supernatural life the convert has received for the following reasons:

1. The church is the appointed spiritual home for every believer Eph. 2:19; Lk. 15:3-7. When the prodigal son left the home, his life began to wither, and on return his life flourished again Lk. 15:11-24. This is why our converts must be gathered and abides in the home, which is the church.
2. The church is ordained for a covering for our new converts against all assaults of the wicked one 2Sam. 7:10; Psa. 91:1-5. The devil wants to rob the convert of the life he has received; we must ensure this is prevented to preserve them in the faith Jn. 10:10. Another reason why they must abide in church.

Every believer that desires to experience his glorious destiny in Christ must be planted in the church Psa. 92:12-15; Rms. 8:29-30. Remember, we become entitled to the rewards of our service as our converts abide in the faith, by abiding in the church.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive fresh grace for the ingathering of souls into the kingdom, thereby positioning me for the full delivery of the blessing of the season Zch. 4:7.

Appraise your kingdom advancement activities for the year; for the percentage of your converts established in the church.
