We are in the mid of the year, which the scriptures identify as a season of revival Hab. 3:2. The understanding of time and season is to enable the believer know the right thing to do, when this is done the believer will enjoy all the fullness of the blessing for the season 1Chr. 12:32. From scriptures, we understand that one vital hallmark of a revival season is the massive ingathering of souls into the kingdom Acts. 2:1-4,41,47; 4:4; 6:7. If truly we are in a revival season, then we must give ourselves to the demand of gathering souls into the church in order to make the most of the season.

What is the Significance of Ingathering of souls into the church?

1. For the establishment of the new converts in the faith.

Just like the farmer is not entitled to his pay until his farm produce gets to, and is received into the storehouse. In the same way, the believer is not entitled to his rewards from God until his converts are established in the faith Jn. 15:16; 4:35-36. This is where ingathering to the church becomes vital because:

1. The church is God’s appointed place where God satisfies His children with His goodness, which will encourage the convert to become established in the faith Psa. 65:4; 132:13-15.
2. The church is the New Testament city of refuge for the believer, where every assault of hell is not permitted to touch him 2Sam. 7:10; Jos. 10:2. This also will enhance the establishment of the convert in the faith.

Remember, every season of revival is ordained for the rise of giants Hab. 3:2,17-19. But that is for those who will engage appropriately in the revival. In esssence, this season holds great things in store for every wise believer who will be a part of the ingathering of multitudes into the church Lk. 14:21-23.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive fresh grace for the ingathering of souls into the kingdom, thereby positioning me for the full delivery of the blessing of the season Zch. 4:7.
