Memory verse:
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” Jn. 15:16.
Every child of God has the ministry of reconciliation; to reconcile the world to God 2Cor. 5:17-19. This is what makes the believer to be identified as a true ambassador of Christ on the earth 2Cor. 5:20. We must understand that this status of an ambassador is what entitles the believer for all the benefits of redemption. But why is the demand to gather souls into the church?
The significance of ingathering of souls into the church.
- To avoid wasted labor by the believer.
We understand that every labor a believer makes into the kingdom has the promise of reward Pro. 14:23. We see a lot of believers laboring in the kingdom, with nothing to show for it. Often, it is because of not being fruitful, such don’t have abiding souls in the kingdom Jn. 15:1-2,16. Note the following:
- Our fruits must abide for our rewards to be fully delivered.
The scriptures say categorically that until our fruits abide,, our due rewards cannot be fully delivered Jn. 15:16; 4:35-36.
- We need the wisdom of ingathering to be fruitful believers.
Wisdom empowers the believer to take over a city Ecc. 9:14-18. In essence, when we engage divine wisdom, we can take over our harvest field.
- Tireless commitment to ingathering of souls will make a star of any believer.
The scriptures make us to understand that ingathering of souls into the church makes a believer to be turned into a star Pro. 11:30; Dan. 12:3,
