Memory verse:
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” Jn. 15:16.
The scriptures make us to understand that every believer is ordained to be a soul winner Jn. 15:1-2. The believer is not only to bear fruits, but to ensure the souls are established in the faith Jn. 15:16. This commandment of scriptures is central in our walk with God, and will determine our outcome as believers Mk. 16:15-16,20. It is important to know why we must labour to see every soul gets to and stays in church.
The significance of ingathering of souls into the church.
every baby in the natural that is not growing is a concern to the parents. So, every new convert in Christ needs to grow in order not to become a liability and concern in life. This is how the church is crucial to the growth of new converts:
From scriptures, we see the church as the spiritual center where believers grow from strength to strength Psa. 84:7; Heb. 12:22-24.
Growth is a function of adequate feeding. God placed the shepherds that feed the flock in the church, making it the feeding center for growth 2Chr 15:3-5; Isa. 30:20-21.
Spiritual illumination is vital for spiritual growth of believers, and the church is the ordained place for it Psa. 73:2-3,16-17.
