Memory verse:   

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

• Jn. 15:16.

In the parable of the sower of scriptures, the first set of seeds fell by the way-side and they were devoured by the birds of the air Matt. 13:4,19. The people we ministered to on the outreach field during the just concluded Operation By All Means who responded to Christ but are yet to be brought to church can be likened to this. These individuals become cheap prey to the ‘birds of the air’ identified in scriptures as the devil and his demons Eph. 2:2. Their mission is to see these people return back to their former life of sin and worse. This is why scripture is clear in stating that, until the fruits of our kingdom advancement endeavors are established in the faith and church, they are yet to be counted as addition to the kingdom and our job is not done yet Jn. 15:16; Acts. 2:41,47. Therefore, we must commit to going further in our kingdom advancement labor, to see that every soul contacted in the just concluded prophetic season are effectively and immediately gathered into the church and to make them abide in the faith.

This week, the focus of our teachings shall be on the scriptural reasons why those who responded to the invitation in our outreaches must be made to become registered members of a local assembly of the church. And I believe God that this will be a great blessing to your Christian walk.

The Importance of getting new converts established in the Church.

1. For the establishment of the new converts in the Faith Eph. 4:13-14.

God’s interest is to have all of His children grow up to sons, into the fullness of the stature of Christ, and this can only be achieved as they are consistently nurtured in the midst of fellow brethren, the church.

• The church is God’s approved center for distributing His blessings Psa. 65:4; 132:13-15.

The promises of God that we told the people which got them interested in turning their lives over to Christ has the place where God hands them out to men, and that is the church. Therefore, we must ensure they are brought to church to take their desired part of the blessing.

• Until the farm produce gets to the store house, the farmer is not entitled to his pay Jn. 4:35-36.

This same agricultural principle applies in kingdom business of souls; the soul winner is not qualified for any reward until his converts are received and established in the church, which is God’s storehouse.

• The church is the city of refuge for the believer 2Sam. 7:10; Jos. 20:2.

In the Old Testament dispensation, God appointed the city of refuge as a place of security against the avenger of blood for His children. In the New Testament dispensation, the church is same. To be free from the devil the avenger of blood, our converts must become established in the church therefore.

Therefore, the security of all our converts and the release of our blessings for our labor in the kingdom is by the establishment of every of our converts both in the faith and the church. This makes it very important for us to be committed to the ingathering of souls into the church.

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace for tireless commitment to the ingathering of all my converts and contacts until they are turned into active disciples of Christ Jn. 17:12.

Action.

Take a roll of your coverts and contacts for the just concluded Operation By All Means, to identify the number that is committed to church already.
