Memory verse:
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
- 15:16.
From scriptures, we have seen that every commandment of God is for the profit of the believer that will obey with attention to the details 2Tim. 3:16-17; Deu. 28:1-2. Also, we established that a basic instruction for the believer that will experience the abundant life is the reconciliation of the unsaved to God 2Cor. 5:17-20. But the reconciled lives must abide with God for the task to be considered done Jn. 15:16. This is why it becomes essential for ingathering of the souls to the church.
The significance of ingathering of our converts into the church.
- For the believer’s labor for God not to be wasted.
Every labor for God is ordained to deliver profit to the believer Pro. 14:23. This is when the labor produces expected result, without which it is a waste. This makes ingathering of souls into the church very important for the following reasons:
- Until our fruits or reconciled lives abide with God, our rewards cannot be fully delivered 15:16; 4:35-36. In essence, we should not celebrate souls won into the kingdom, but abiding souls.
- We must engage the wisdom of ingathering into the church to have abiding souls 1:37-39. This is the wisdom for taking over our harvest field for Christ Ecc. 9:14-15; 10:15.
- It is this wisdom of ingathering of souls that makes a star of the believer 12:3; Pro. 11:30. Therefore, every believer that will emerge a star must become tirelessly committed to the task of ingathering.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, endue me with the grace to labor that every of my converts shall be gathered into the church and become established in the faith Jn. 15:16.
Action.
Go after all your converts of the year to see them gathered for church service tomorrow Sunday.
Priestly Blessings.
By the ministry of reaper angels, all converts of the year shall be in church tomorrow!
You shall not lose any of your converts of the year to the forces of sin and hell!
