Memory verse:
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
“These things I command you, that ye love one another.”
- Jn. 15:16-17.
Kingdom stewardship is found to be the most rewarding and profitable venture for any man on the earth 1Tim. 4:7-8; Exo. 23:25-26. There is no work or engagement that has the level of promises kingdom stewardship gives. But for our labor in kingdom stewardship to deliver these amazing promises we must do it lawfully 2Tim. 2:5. One vital rule for kingdom stewardship is that our labor must result into fruits for the kingdom that abide Jn. 15:16. Laboring for God in service is good but not enough; more important is that our labor must deliver fruits or souls into the kingdom, and the souls must become established in the kingdom by being established n the church. It is abiding fruits or established souls that are counted as fruits in the kingdom 1Jn. 2:19.
Scriptural understanding that empowers the believer to labor for abiding fruits.
- The establishment of converts in the faith is what registers a convert in the kingdom.
The scriptures make us to understand that the goal of God’s kingdom in soul winning is disciples; where the convert is maturing to the stature of Christ Eph. 4:13-14; Mat. 28:19-20. God’s goodness is stocked up in His house, it is as the converts get established in God’s house that they access all these God has reserved for them Psa. 65:4. And this is what will result in their emergence into greatness Psa. 132:13-15. Also, we understand that God’s house is the city of refuge for the redeemed Jos. 20:2. Hence, as the converts are established in God’s house they become untouchable to the forces of darkness in life 2Sam. 7:10. Also, it is as the converts abide in the faith through their establishment in the church that the believer who reached out to them becomes entitled to his reward Jn. 4:35-36.
In essence, getting individuals to renounce the life of sin, commit his life to Christ, and come to church is one thing. But most important is to see to it that they abide in the faith, as they become established in the church. Receive grace for this order of labor.
