Memory verse:   

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

• Eph. 5:20.

The reason for the struggle of many in life is because they lack the understanding of how to get at their desire Ecc. 10:15. This makes them to exert their effort in the wrong direction, resulting in wasted and futile labor. Doing the wrong thing and following a wrong approach will both deliver wrong result. From scriptures, we are commanded to thank God at all times and for all things Eph. 5:20. This has the guarantee of delivering whatever is the desire of the believer Psa. 67:5-7. Particularly, as a commission we have a lot to thank God for in these 42 years.

What are Some Reasons why we must thank God?

1. For supernatural church growth and expansion.

God is the builder of His church and the multiplier of the flock Mat. 16:18; Jer. 30:19. God is the ultimate force behind every growth and build-up of His church 1Cor. 3:6; Heb. 3:4. Without God, every effort put in by man will end at nothing Mat. 6:27. In essence, the explosive church growth we have continued to experience over the year is a proof that God has been at work in this commission.

• To acknowledge God as the source of our great experiences.

From scriptures, we understand except God’s hand is in a thing, whatever man does will not deliver result Psa. 127:1-2. If we have seen result and great things, it therefore means God’s hand has been at work for us. We must intentionally acknowledge this hand of God, in order not to bring destruction on ourselves Psa. 28:5.

 Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for all of your goodness and blessing that we have enjoyed as individuals, families, and commission all these years; to you be all the glory Eph. 5:20.

Action.

For the great things we have enjoyed and growth without measure, let’s thank God all through today.
