Memory verse:
“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”
- Eph. 5:20.
The bible is a book of instruction, and the instructions of scriptures are ordained for the profiting of the believer 2Tim. 3:16-17. One of the basic instruction of scriptures is giving of thanks at all times and for all things Mal. 2:1-2; Eph. 5:20. This has been a vital secret of the amazing growth, exploits and the strange manifestations of God we have enjoyed as a commission in these forty-two years of our existence Psa. 67:5-7. God taught His servant, Bishop David Oyedepo early of this truth, and it has become our culture in the winners’ family.
What are Some Reasons why we must thank God?
- For the confirmation of the word in signs, wonders and diverse miracles.
God does nothing except by His word Heb. 11:3; Jn. 1:3. Every act of God is simply a confirmation of the word in the life of the believer Mk. 16:20. In these forty-two (42) years of the commission, we have been recognized globally as a home of signs and wonders. And this has been purely as God keeps confirming His word in miracles Acts 5:12-14.
- To multiply God’s blessings in our lives.
We serve the God of multiplication, who ordained the believer to keep experiencing multiplied blessings Deu. 1:11. As we thank God, we invoke the forces of multiplication on His blessings in our lives Jn. 6:6-12. Whatever we have seen can become much more tomorrow by engaging the force of thanksgiving today. This is why we need to thank God as a commission.
Jesus is Lord!
