WHY ARE WE GIVING THANKS AS A COMMISSION THIS WEEK? 030524 Pt. 5.

Memory verse:
“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” 2Cor. 2:14.
The Living Faith Church was forty-three years exactly yesterday May 2 2024. God has kept this commission all these years, and we owe Him all the praise for it. From the case of the ten lepers that Jesus met and healed Lk. 17:11-19. Jesus requested of the other nine when He saw only one returned to give thanks Lk. 17:17. This means that God expects every believer to always return to Him with thanksgiving. When the believer truly understand what God has done for him, He will be spontaneous in his thanksgiving.
Vital scriptural understanding for our thanksgiving.
- For supernatural church growth and expansion.
The scriptures makes us to understand that man’s effort in itself alone does not guarantee increase and growth Psa. 127:1-2; Mat. 6:27. Particularly, church growth can only be by the hand of God 1Cor. 3:6; Heb. 3:4. This commission has experienced strange dimension of growth in these forty-three years, we have returned this week to thank God the personality behind the growth. The following will give more understanding to this:
- God is the only one that adds to the church Acts 2:46-47; Jn. 15:5. He is the one that can touch the heart of men, make them to be saved and settle in church 21:1; Acts 2:37-41.
- God is the multiplier of the flock 30:19; Acts 6:7. He is breathes on the effort and input of man, and makes it to deliver result beyond what the effort will naturally produce Deu. 1:11.
- We have enjoyed continuous church growth in these forty-three years, and in explosives dimensions continually 6:44; Zph. 3:17,19-20.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for doing all things well these past 43 years in this commission, and for my privilege to be a partaker in this commission Mk. 7:37.
Action.
Take the time to count God’s blessings in your life, and thank God for each of them.
Priestly Blessings.
The voice of thanksgiving shall never cease in your life from today!
By your thanksgiving the hand of God shall on ly be getting stronger on your life!
