Memory verse:
“O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive
thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”
- Hab. 3:2.
The months of June and July stand at the middle of the year; recognized as the Midst of the Year, the scriptures gives us the understanding that it is a season ordained for revival Hab. 3:2. Remember that time matters and is central to the life of man on the earth Eccl. 9:11. We serve the God of times and seasons, who created life on earth with time specifications Eccl. 3:1-11. The understanding of these and what is specified per time is key to maximize one’s life on the earth 1Chr. 12:32. There are specific demands each season will place on man, and only those who respond that will enjoy the fruits of the season. A revival season is ordained to move God’s people forward supernaturally Hab. 3:4-6,17-19.
In concluding on this subject today, we shall explore further on what a revival looks like, and the demand to enjoy the best of a revival season. I strongly believe this shall be your most fruitful season thus far in life.
Understanding what a revival really is.
- A revival is when the Spirit of God begins to move both among the priests as well as among the people with the same tempo of manifestation Joel 2:28-30.
There are certain things that we attribute only to ‘men of God’. Often, it is the strong manifestation of the Spirit of God with practical proofs to show. In a revival, we see all of these attributes being manifested by all believers, both priest and the people, old, young, even children
- A revival is when the prayer altar comes alive with intensity and consistency Acts 2:47; 3:1.
When the attitude towards prayer becomes a delight among the believers, so that everyone just love to engage on the prayer altar then there is a revival. And in contrast to how it used to be these prayers generate desired result. Then truly, a revival is happening!
What is one to do to in such a moment in order to maximize the season? Every revival thrives on the Spirit of prayer, it is how we move God in the season of revival Hab. 3:1-2. Therefore, we remain steadfast on the prayer altar in this prophetic season of the midst of the year. What are we praying for? Among others, it is for the outpouring of the Spirit of God that will turn every one of us to a sign and a wonder, thereby drawing multitudes into the church.
