Memory verse:   

“O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive

 thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”

• Hab. 3:2.

Scriptures make us to understand that life on earth is designed by God in times and seasons Gen. 1:14-15. Each moment of life is appointed with specific purpose by God, this is what the bible calls ‘the time appointed’ Eccl. 3:1; Psa. 81:3. God operates by a schedule, with each moment, time and season tagged with a particular purpose to be achieved. When the time appointed by God for a purpose comes, all things turns to make the divine purpose for the moment to become a reality.

We are in a vital season of the year known as the Midst of the Year; simply saying the middle of the year. What makes it significant is that it is revival season Hab. 3:2. Revival times are designed for forceful and dramatic change of men and communities, when age-long yokes and problems are destroyed resulting in supernatural turnaround testimonies Hab. 3:6. To actualize the realities of a revival, we need an understanding of what to do, and this will be precipitated by a sound understanding of what a revival is.

Understanding what a revival really is.

1. A revival is when the hearts of men begin to seek after God in genuine repentance Jon. 3:5-8; Acts 8:5-8.

This is when nothing seems to catch the interest and fancy of the people again other than to please God, be in His presence and do His bidding. When we see this happen, we are in a true revival.

• A revival is when every home becomes a ‘church’ Acts 5:42; Rms. 16:5; 1COr. 6:19.

This is when every house becomes a place of fellowship in what house fellowship. And every house owner is turned to a pastor, overseeing the church in his home. This is not happening because the people are coerced, but they are delighted in doing it. This is what we call revival!

What is one to do to in such a moment in order to maximize what the season? Everything that a revival mean is a function of prayer Hab. 3:1-2. In essence, it is the prayer investment that determine a revival and the dividend it will deliver. Therefore, we must commit to a life of prayer; praying for the outpouring of the Spirit of God upon God’s people and the land in general, which is to empower men into the life of prayer Rms. 8:26-27. I know this shall be to you a season to remember forever.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of grace and supplication to engage tireless on the prayer altar all through this revival Zch. 12:10.

Action.

Make today a day of prayer; ask God for the outpouring of His Spirit upon the land for an outbreak of revival like we have never seen before.
