WE DO NOT BEG FOR A TURNAROUND IN THE KINGDOM PT. 5.

Memory verse:

“Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.”

“And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that

these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on

 the left, in thy kingdom.”

“But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to

drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the

baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.”

  • Matt. 20:20-22.

Scriptures make us to understand that our God is a good and loving Father, who has prepared great things for every of His child Jer. 29:11; Jms. 1:17. But scriptures make us to understand further that to every provision of God, there is the attached condition(s) Deut. 28:1-2. In essence, every provision of redemption is available to all, but can only be accessed by those who will meet the conditioned attached. The conditions that are attached to the provisions of God turns them from mere promises to a covenant. Remember, we serve a God of covenant, who is committed to keep His covenant Psa. 89:34. It is the reason why when the covenant requirements are met, the believer does not need to beg nor plead again, God becomes committed to make good His word in his life.

We have established from scriptures that serving God is a central condition to whatever God can afford Exo. 23:25-26. God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo has called it the master key in God’s kingdom. From the beginning of this week, we have been doing scriptural study on what kingdom service offers a believer.

Exploring the wonders of serving God.

  1. We do not beg to be free from oppression of the wicked, we serve our way into liberty Exo. 4:22-23; 23:25-26.

The devil who is the captor in life does not respond to pleading. Crying and emotional expression of pity and pain only gets him excited to increase in his wickedness Matt. 25:30. In essence, freedom never comes by begging, it is only through the application of relevant covenant force. Serving God is a guaranteed force for freedom in life, because no one serves two masters at the same time.

  • We do not cry to be free from generational curses, we serve our way to terminate curses Mal. 3:8-9,17-18.

Curses are negative forces that work to ruin a life no matter the investments made into that life. Curses must be broken for their effect to be terminated, and it is broken by applying the force required. Serving God is the force that will break any curse on a life.

The truth is that no matter how terrible the wreck the enemy has wrought in a life, when the force of serving God is engaged the works of the enemy will be terminated and there will be restoration. We must therefore understand that service in not God looking for who to disgrace, rather He is looking for who to empower for triumphant living Lk. 10:1,17-19.
