Memory verse:

“Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

“And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

“But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.”

  • Mat. 20:20-22.

There is the record of the mother of two of Jesus’ disciples; the sons of Zebedee who came to make special request for her two sons Mat. 20:20-22. This represent the attitude of lots of believers, they desire great things from God and are fervent in their request for it. But just like Jesus told the mother of Zebedee’s, the things of the kingdom do not come by our begging for them but paying the price Deu. 28:1-2. The challenge with the believer is understanding what it takes to have his desires delivered, and the commitment to the demand Isa. 5:13.

The Provisions of the kingdom and conditions to experience them.

  1. Enthronement.

Every believer is redeemed a king and priest to reign in life Rev. 5:9-10. This is irrespective of the background, educational status and work of the believer Mat. 5:13-16. But the believer is not to beg to be enthroned, he is to serve his way to enthronement Mat. 20:20-22.

  • Prosperity.

God’s will for the believer is supernatural prosperity 3Jn. 2. Redemption delivers the believer from the yoke of poverty and qualifies him for wealth. But this cannot be experienced by prayer or fasting, we serve our way into realms of prosperity Psa. 35:27; Job 36:11.

We must understand that serving God is all about promoting the interest of God, which essentially is the salvation of souls Jn. 3:16; 1Tim. 2:4-5. Therefore, God is not looking for who to rob, but who to enrich Lk. 5:3-8.
