Memory verse:   

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”

• Deu. 28:1.

We understand from scriptures that a sound knowledge of God makes the believer strong and empowers him for exploits in life Dan. 11:32; Pro. 24:5. A fundamental knowledge of God the believer needs is to understand that God is a covenant keeping God Psa. 89:34. In essence, every provision of God has the requirement for His children to gain access Deu. 28:1-2. We have established from scriptures that serving God is the requirement to every kingdom provision for the believer Psa. 34:10; Mat. 6:33.

Kingdom provisions that we access through serving God.

1. We serve to ascend the throne in life.

Every believer by redemption is ordained for the throne as a king and priest in life Rev. 5:12; 1Pet. 2:9. In essence, no matter the background a man has once he gives his life to Christ, he has a throne waiting for him. But we don’t beg to be enthroned; it is serving God that paves the way to one’s throne in life Mat. 20:20-22.

• We serve to prosper in the kingdom.

Prosperity is the utmost will of God for every believer 3Jn. 2; Psa. 35:27. Our prosperity as kingdom citizens is not automatic, and we do not beg to prosper, we serve our way into growing realms of prosperity Job 36:11; Mal. 3:17-18; 4:1-2. In essence, as we serve God and the interest of His kingdom, we move from poverty into prosperity and higher levels of it.

Therefore, the demand of serving God placed on the believer by scriptures is not to saddle him with burden. For God is not looking for whom to rob, He is looking for whom to enrich Job 36:11; Lk. 5:1-8.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive grace afresh for renewed service and to remain committed until my turnaround is testified to by all Zch. 4:6-7.
