Memory verse:
“And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.”
“But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.” Mat. 20:20-22.
The scriptures make it clear that being born again initiates the believer into a glorious life Psa. 34:8,10. The believer need to understand that God’s kingdom that he now belongs operates absolutely by covenant Psa. 89:34. Walking by the covenant is the key to maximize the kingdom life, and experience the abundant life Jn. 10:10. In essence, we don’t beg for things, but walk by the covenant.
Some basic covenant approaches to maximize the kingdom life.
- We don’t beg to be favored; we serve our way into favor.
New birth brings the believer into the life of favor, which is the cure to struggles in life Psa. 5:12. But service is the requirement to qualify for this favor Psa. 102:12-13.
- We don’t beg for long life in the kingdom; we serve to enjoy long life.
New birth promises the believer the experience of long life Psa. 91:1,15-16. But from scriptures, we understand that service is key to enjoy long life Exo. 23:25-26.
- God is not looking for who to use, but who to bless.
In the natural, serving God appears as if the believer is been used. But from scriptural understanding, he is making spiritual investment that guarantees the release of blessing on his life Exo. 23:25-26; 1Cor. 15:58.
